Alex Jones Ordered to Pay $965 Million

Being called a liar is referring to character, being called good looking is a personal opinion.

Hillary Clinton, just ask Tulsi.

That’s just ignorant. You know damn well you don’t believe that.

Is it ignorant, or do I not believe it? Seems an either-or situation. Regardless, I do believe it.

We should re-word the law to be “its only defamation if accused apologized and didn’t mean it.”

Stick to Canadian law, please.

Are you saying that AJ accusing the parents of being crisis actors did not result in the damages they’ve claimed?

Why does his apology matter?

I’m the scope of a law intended to mend hurt feelings? It should mean everything.

In practicality, it should mean nothing. But i was answering YOUR opinion here.

My opinion is that an apology shouldn’t matter.

I was only playing out how I thought it might play out for him if an apology was considered.

Thanks!

Nancy Pelosi enjoys making love to horses, Mitch McConnell is in the closet, and Biden and Trump are pedophiles. All (probably) falsities and defamatory. If 1,000 people hear me repeat this, is it grounds for a lawsuit? 10,000? 100,000? 1 million? Speech restrictions are ridiculous, arbitrary, and nearly always enforced selectively.

What were the consequences of those words? Did you know they were false when you typed them? Were you just saying them to make a point?

None of them want anybody investigating the veracity of those statements, so its a non issue.

But yeah, you’re pretty much right about the speech stuff.

Is there someone who doesn’t already know this?

I thought that was Lindsey Graham.

How are we supposed to know the extent at which someone else will act upon the words we say?

Maybe the words get lost in the void, maybe i go call and harass every one of those politicians. Who are you to say whether those words are defamation?

Maybe it’s only defamation to say these things if you have money? Although they demanded a billion from someone worth less than 100 million so give it time; this decision wasn’t about Alex Jones.

Weird they never went after Rush.

There is ZERO evidence of that. And even if it was part of some bigger plan, Jones still deserved to be bankrupted and ruined.

Seems this is applied arbitrarily depending on your political stance and where you are to me.

(Not implying that is the case here)
