ALA: The Debate Continues...

The debate continues…

There is recent research that suggest that ALA, as an anti-oxidant, may have some benefit in the delaying of symptoms of Alzheimer’s…

But where are we in it’s role in nutrient partitioning? How should it be used? What form?

Supposedly r-ala is superior to the regular ala. All i know is that it’s good antioxidant for water and lipid based in the body. As for helping shuffling glcose into muscle mass… who the heck knows if it really does that.

Mufasa, I think that the consencous of my previous post on this subject was that ala doesn’t partition glucose into muscle cells any more than it does into fat cells. But, for antioxidant use, R-ala was the better choice.

soldier:

I saw a number of threads on ALA…

Can you “bump” that particular one up?

THANKS!
