AI with Sottopelle Pellets?

Im 50 years old.I had 10 Sottopelle put in again about 3 months ago. Ive been on pellets for more than a year. Im feeling very tired with low energy. Even though I am tired, I have managed to put on muscle.

These are my labs from yesterday.

Testosterone=1211

Estradiol=54

PSA= 4.1

Bottom line question…Do I need a AI? For some reason my Doc is reluctant to prescribe an AI. He is pretty cool about everything else though.

Thank you for your thoughts and opinions.

This is the problem with pellets–T levels (and thus E2 levels) are a moving target so its nearly impossible to reliably dose your AI.

But yes, I would say you would benefit from one. What are your other symptoms?

Also, what is range for PSA? Isn’t 4 the max? If so, you obviously have problems.

Thanks VTBalla. Your right about pellets. I use to be pro pellets but beginning to have second thoughts. My T rose to above 1600 a few months ago. Doc was real concerned.

Other symptoms…Slight ED. Not sure if this is do to high E or just getting older?

Just got an email from my Doc a few minutes ago. He says “Your estradiol is normal” He is a smart and open minded doctor. Just don’t understand what his beef is with AI. He is also on pellets himself.

I used Adex when I was on pellets. It is a bit of a moving target but 54 is too high and the symptoms you describe are likely the results from it. A few suggestions: research chem, overseas pharmacy, DIM, or find a doc who knows that an E2 reading of 54 for a patient with symptoms like your is not OK.

Thank you Undone. I went to see my Doc today. He won’t prescribe Adex or anything close. Told him about the forum and how there is a lot of good advice but the guy won’t budge. He says he has been through the Sottopelle training and other doctors would think he is insane if they saw my medical records where he had prescribed me amex with my E levels. I know many will say “find another doc” but its costly to change docs and then to tell a new doc what you want before they start treating you is difficult too. I will have to think it over.

Hey, I hear ya. I, like many others here, tend to throw out the “find a new doc” advice like it’s a simple thing to do. Finding one who understands the entire spectrum of TRT and is not trying to make a killing on it is not easy. I had a doc that prescribed gel and my E2 was in the high 30’s. When I asked for an AI he told me the best way to lower my E2 was to lose weight and suggested I take up jogging. I didn’t even broach the subject of HCG.

At the very least, if I were you I would try DIM. It should bring it down over time. My best advice is generic Arimidex from an overseas pharmacy (PM me if you need some names) and then test your E2 through lef.org. The test for members is about $33. That is what I did. With pellets you may have to adjust a bit depending on how far out you are from the last round of implants but overall my guess is you will feel better.

IMO you are wasting time and money with an E2 of 54. Any benefit from higher test levels is negated by the higher estrodiol. Unless you take matters into your own hands and correct you E2 you will most likely feel worse. The solution is cheap and easy.

I hate to say it, but since you have a doc who cares more about what his pellet fraternaty would say more than how you feel, you really should eventually “find a new doc”.

Undone - I am new to the forums and don’t have PM privileges yet, but could you send me some information in my in box for some pharmacies?? I would appreciate any help. I am new to TRT and am on my 3rd Doc. The Dr. rotation is no fun. My Dr. now is the most open one I have , but won’t budge on anything but my test injections until my labs come back out of whack. Thanks again.

Undone-Thank you for your advice. I will try DIM. I will look for it at the vitamin store.
Need to get over this very tired feeling. I have to take a 5 hour energy every morning just to get started.
