We currently only test band 31 here in canada and in order to get the western blot test you have to pass the ELISA which as you know is a bogus test esp when not using the c 6 peptide ELISA.
I am fighting with everyone to get tested properly but it’s a losing battle and I am picking up my test kit from Igenex Monday from the naturopath.

I will ask you one question

Where are you located and who is your doctor and what was his approach?

Did you see a homeopathic doctor after antibiotics?

Where did you get tested?

That’s more then one but on well

Thanks for jumping in as I feel we can all learn from one another

It actually shows your a good human being and ofcourse I dont mind

Thanks bro
1.I am located in the Stroudsburg area in Pennsylvania. Valley Infectious Disease Specialist in Easton Pa. was were I was sent by my GP. Dr. Wesley P. Kozinn was who I had at V.I.D.S.

 1. No. My Specialist was on top of that too. Probiotics started right after my treatment and continued for 2 months.

 2. As stated; Valley Infectious Decease Specialist in Easton Pa.

My diagnoses cam quick since I remember the high fever 2 weeks earlier and was displaying a nasty sunburn type of rash. My area had a very mild winter an it never killed those tick bastards. If it’s out there, I’m going to get it, it was just a matter of time. Look at my avatar, thatâ??s my back yard and the bow is no prop. I spend more time in the woods then anyone I know and as a Project Manager for an engineering company, a lot of time in the field. Side note: I was on TRT at the time.

Canadian Medicine huh? My GP (who is also a family friend) took one look and said, “Dude, you got Lyme’s Disease. Here’s a script for an antibiotic that I want you to start today and I want you to go see a specialist”.

I will leave you with the positive; it was over 3 years ago but I am at the top of my game now. In April, I achieved a goal I never thought possible, 600 lb squat and a 6.2 mile race at an 8 min mile pace, all in the same day at 47 years old.

Get treated, get back up on your feet and get going!

I think I may have had this since 2001…

I remember being in bed for 2 months and I remember a rash but I can’t fin the medical documents anywhere.

They like to use the phrase " it’s all in your head here "

I have been in pain for a long time and my symptoms have become more and more over time.

I have problems coming out the wazoo and even if they find and treat I will have to live with the cysts and arthritis and impingments and endocrine problems It may have left behind.

GI issues also… The list is long I also have heart palpitations now and bradycardia at different times

I guess I am luck to have a good GP. I could go in to him and tell him my ovaries hurt and he would send me for a test. lol!

Can I come stay at your house and see your doctor lol

Go see a naturopath or homeopath and take a holistic approach for now.

Lets see what the other numbers say and go from there.

I know this is a trt website but trt is not always the best solution. I believe it’s to soon to jump on trt
ACES,
I know I said this before, but your diversity is greatly appreciated. I had a naturopath (primarily a chiropractor) who diagnosed me with adrenal fatigue well before I ever started TRT or found out I actually HAD adrenal fatigue. This is not an option often discussed in this forum, and an option that far less invasive than going on TRT.

Thanks. Hope you’re well.

Thanks man. I just try to tell people what I think might be a good option before making that life long commitment.

If we have heavy metals in our body this can affect everything

The majority of people here prolly never took care of there body just like me.

I think before using a crutch you should see if its possible to strengthen the leg. If all else fails then use the crutch or you can keep trying.

I have a question for you sir. My girlfriend has a prolactinoma. She isnt feeling right lately and I don’t know what effects this could have besides prolactin and possible vision problems.

Could sinus: post nasal drip or something like it be involved?

Could tension headaches. Be involved?

U know when you have sunglasses for a long time and it feels like they are still on!? She says it feels like that, a band going across her head.

It isn’t really big about 9 mm which is big to me but not to doctors.

She hasn’t saw an endocrinologist and no one has. Even checked other hormones.

She saw a neurologist and he said she’s lucky it’s small and forget its even there.

She won’t bring me to the doctors cause I will most likely rip them a new a hole.

Her prolactin levels are not as high as yours maybe a few points above range but then again it was only checked once so…

Any advice for her on what she should do?

I’m not well-versed on their effects on women other than they tend to find them sooner (and smaller) than men because they cause issues with menstruation.

I can say that it didn’t cause any of the symptoms you listed above in me. Is she taking anything like caber or bromo? Can she possibly attribute any of her symptoms as side-effects to these? Allergies? Does she experience this yearly?

Since we have brought natural remedies to the table, have her try a neti-pot. Make sure the water is distilled or purified though. No tap water or shower water.

This will work wonders for sinus issues.

Ya been there done that. She uses the pot when absolutely necessary but doesn’t like the feeling of the powder left over, she doesn’t find she likes it.

Doctors have done nothing. No drugs nor nothing.

No allergies and now this has been ongoing for over a year

She found it by fluke because of her pressure head aches and then found high prolactin.

I know she has a thyroid problem but tsh was 1 and he doctor would obly check tsh ofcourse

We are very different. I won’t let up til I get what I want and she hides from problems and thinks they will go away

When was the MRI performed? Prolactinomas will only continue to grow if left untreated, man or woman. If the last MRI was a year ago, when did the symptoms begin to appear?

I’ve told you this before, but I don’t claim to be any kind of scholar on the thyroid, so I can’t comment on that. I need to read up more on it. I’ll do some digging on prolactinomas in women and see if I can shed any light on the symptoms for you.

The vision problems you talked about with prolactinomas in another post; Prolactinomas have varying symptoms depending on where they grow. They can cause vision problems when they press on the optic nerve. Eventually, they can wrap around a carotid and cause fainting spells and death. This is not a problem she can hide from, as I’m sure you are well aware.

Her only options here are dopamine agonists like caber (preferred) or bromocriptine, or…removal. You can watch pituitary adenoma removals on youtube. They aren’t pleasant, though. Also, they have a fairly large recurrence rate. 30% if I remember correctly. I have accepted the fact that I probably have to take cabergoline the rest of my life.

I wasn’t asking for advice on thyroid or expecting you to know.

I know she has a thyroid problem no if ands or buts

Her skin is peeling her hair falling out and thinning, she is always very cold with low body temps. She has muscle and joint issues. Her eyes are even buldging more in my opinion.

I was asking about the prolactinoma and you answered clearly. Thank you

Interesting read on the association between headaches and pituitary adenomas. It seems that if the tumor invades the sinus cavity, that can cause issues. If she has headaches in the same place the majority of the time, the tumor may be causing it. The study also states that dopamine agonists alleviate headaches sometimes, but exacerbate them sometimes. 63% describe the pain as throbbing.

Ya that’s an OK study but nothing really very concrete eh?

Interesting though ill try and look deepe into this.

Thanks for your concern man… Very much appreciated

ACES,

http://www.wildcondor.com/lyme.html

Found this the other day and thought of you. Interesting read.

Oh, and no, that study was not very concrete. I just found it interesting that those experiencing headaches seemed to always have them in the same area of the head.

Good read. Thanks bro

How are you doing?

Doing well.

Any updates on you or your girlfriend?

Not much no… She is finally going to see an endo after I forced her to talk to her doctor.

Have you ever heard of a rife machine? My holistic doc thinks she can shrink it and beat Lyme with it?? Is she nuts??

I read your posts and hope you don’t mind me jumping in. Have you been tested at least twice for Lyme?

Btw, I had it and went to a very good doctor and ended up at an Infectious Decease Specialist. I know more about Lyme then I ever wanted to know! I’m a pro-active guy when it comes to my wellbeing so I research and ask a lot of questions. If I can help you at all, PLEASE ASK!
Before I ask this question are you still around double lung?

I’ve never heard of a rife machine. Now I’m curious.
