Hey guys, Ive been on trt for about 1 1/2 years and currnetly ive gotten my level to a good range but my estrogen is still a bit high. i have the 1mg anastrozole tabs but im not sure how much to take without lowering my E too much, last time i tried it I think it dropped too low and i felt like shit. My Doc is pretty new to trt and isnt much help with AI dosages. I had my labs done 2 weeks ago. I inject 40mg twice a week(80mg total a week).
testosterone total-774
test free-18.5
estradiol-45.1
DHEA-124
hemocrit-53
the AI pills I have arent scored and are a bitch to cut and get a reliable dose without crushing them even with a pill cutter. any help would be appreciated. thanks!!
Crush up your pill and put it into 1ml of vodka. Dose with a oral syringe. This way you can take very small amounts since you are sensitive. I have done this before with but with Aromasin.
Your T levels are great, but E2 and Hematocrit are quite high especially for your low dose. Only 80 mg per week? If your prescription is coming in a 200mg/ml vial you could actually be injecting 160 mg per week. If so your AI dose needs to be adjusted to fit that dosage.
You are hinting that you may be an anastrozole over-responder* and then you should take 1/4th the expected dosing. *You did not provide any details about what you did earlier.
Dissolve anastrozole in vodka, 1mg/ml and dispense by volume or by the drop from a dropper bottle.
Try 1/8th mg at time of T injections. If getting good results, you will definitely feel good changes in 5-7 days. Do not make fast changes, the process takes time. If not feeling it, make slow increases in dose. When you feel like it is working, do E2 labs 10 days later. Then make calculate dose change as follows:
Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

I can be a bit abrupt in my replies and recommendations. I have a lot of ground to cover as this forum has become much more active in the last two years. I can’t follow threads that go deep over time. You need to respond to all of my points and requests as soon as possible before you fall off of my radar. The worse problems are guys who ignore issues re thyroid, body temperatures, history of iodized salt. Please do not piss people off saying that lab results are normal, we need lab number and ranges.
The value that you get out of this process and forum depends on your effort and performance. The bulk of your learning is reading/studying the suggested stickies.
