Absolutely ridiculous.

Zack Snyder just tweeted this out. All I can say is… hmmm. Guess they’re going for a little older Aquaman too? Maybe he’ll already have had run-ins/interactions with Batman (total guess).

The Aquaman rumor seems to have been recently confirmed, with Jason Momoa officially playing the part. Now I’m even more confused how/if they’re going to handle any shared screentime with Affleck and one of the most muscular actors in Hollywood today. Of course, that’s presuming he gets any significant screentime beyond just a quick intro or something.
In the comics, Aquaman has come into conflict with the Merrevale oil company (owners of the burning rig in MoS) for posing a threat to Atlantis. Tnere’s been further fan speculation that the carnage caused by the Tranformers rejects - I mean World Engines - will draw him to the surface…

Given that Momoa already turned down the offer to play Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy (didn’t want to play another taciturn character - understandable), and he’s been previously rumored to be up for several DC characters, including Martian Manhunter and Lobo, if he is playing Aquaman, then he’s most likely only playing a minor role in SvB (very late casting announcement after Momoa denied all previous negotiations with WB ) and is on a play-or-pay deal for an Aquaman solo movie. LOL. His TRIdent has 5 prongs.

Meh…
As far as A list actors go, 6 foot, 200-225lbs is fairly respectable.

Unite the seven? Seven seas? Seven members of the justice league we have Superman, wonder woman, and batman, aquaman, sighcyborg, and the flash who’s number 7?

Cooper looked soft. Not “bulked” or “full house” or whatever, just soft.

They’ll throw the fans off the scent by making Matter-Eater Lad the seventh member. Casting Nicolas Cage to make using of his inherent scenery-chewing abilities and save on special effects.
WhiteFlash wrote:
Never seen Momoa in anything, but physically he’d be the perfect choice for Lobo. He looks exactly like him.
Momoa would’ve been ideal. The only casting choices WB/DC have made for their cinematic universe which I felt were truly on the nose are Cavill as Supes and The Rock as Black Adam. Apparently Josh Brolin was offered the Batman role before Affleck, but declined (other sources say Affleck was the first and only choice)…I still hope WB brings Brolin back into the fold as SHAZAM.

Cooper would not make a good batman, imo. The Flash maybe.

Besides, he’s already Rocket Raccoon. Enough with the guys playing multiple super hero’s (Chris Evan’s talking to you!).

Although I think Ryan Reynolds (sp?) would make a good flash too (he’s already like 8 super hero’s anyway).

What about the Martian ManHunter?

I don’t think Cyborg is one of the original 7. Although, I didn’t think Aquaman was either.

Bradley Cooper was close to playing Hal Jordan: it was him, Ryan Reynolds or Justin Timberlake (!).

Cross-casting usually bugs me but I think they can get away with it if one of the two is a voice role. Apparently Cooper is on a similar deal to Vin Diesel in that they are both going to play live-action (likely lead) roles in upcoming Marvel films.

I thought Reynolds did a fine job. I’m one of the few that didn’t hate the Green Lantern movie. I thought it was fine. I curious to see how the the Deadpool movie turns out.

Vin Diesel confirmed that he initially met with Marvel to play a lead role. That movie was still years away from production, so Kevin Feige asked him to voice Groot as a kind of stop-gap. It’s not official yet, but the consensus is that he’ll play Black Bolt in the Inhumans.

Nothing substantial has been said about who Brad Cooper will play.

Never thought about it, but Reynolds would make an awesome Flash. I like Cooper as an actor and have enjoyed everything I’ve seen him in, but I just can’t picture him playing a serious superhero. Can’t really explain why, just can’t see it. And, Vin Diesel as Groot was just the right amount of Vin Diesel. Anything beyond his five words and you’re flooding the market.

I can’t think of a super hero Cooper would be a good fit for either. I like him for the most part too.

Maybe Booster Gold.

I think Cyborg is an OG member in the New 52.

Yeah I just googled the movie line-up announced so fat, last independent character movie for the DC films is Green Lantern’s coming in 2020. If I recall they did that to be as far removed from that bad GL movie a few years back.

Haha don’t worry, if Roybot’s right and he’s playing Black Bolt, Vin will once again only be able to say about 5 words the whole film lol

Afflek looks like shit-at least in the pics in this thread.doughy,no definition or size, seriously he looks like someone who might have been abit athletic once.Scott Adkins(whilst admittedly no de niro when it comes to acting chops)certainly has the look and the physical skills to play a believable Batman
