Advices on my bloodwork - TRT 1 year

Hey guys,

I’ll try to give you the most details possible but keep as short as possible.

Been on TRT for 1 year.

Mostly 220mg/week because I was non-responding to 100mg ( kept me at 450ng/dl )

Its a high dose for TRT and eventually my markers went too high… hct, hgb, etc… so we went down to 120mg / week.

MY PROBLEM :

I recently started having high e2 symptoms (my guess tho, might be something else ?) with low libido, ED, high anxiety, oily skin on forehead… so I asked the doc to check it and it’s at 46 pg/ml.

Here’s the rest of the bloodwork :

total t : 651 ng/dl
free t : 180 pg/ml
estradiol : 46 pg/ml
bio-a t : 393 ng/ml
shbg : 22.6 nmol / l
prolactin : 6.4 ug/l

Clinic and doc wont do shit as they’re mostly clueless about TRT in Canada…

I was thinking about 12.5mg arimidex every 3 days to see what happens and if my symptoms improve. Thoughts ?

Please post the ranges of each lab results.

Sorry about it being in French and Canada’s measures

Your T dose is too high so your E2 is also going to be high. You can try lowering your dose, likely somewhere between where you were and are now or start with a micro dose of AI with each injection. Arimadex is typically sold in 1mg tabs and you would NOT want to go higher than 1mg a week to start. Likely .5mg is enough. Whatever you do, make one change at a time and wait about a month to notice effect.

Yeah ok, I think I’ll try microdosing AI instead of lowering and waiting as I just can’t deal with the symptoms anymore.

Definitely was going to be prudent with AI and trying 1/6 of 1mg tablet to start.

So can I safely assume it’s the high e2 giving me these symptoms ?

Everything looks fine despite you not feeling fine. Perhaps an AI can help you but lowering your T dose will lower estradiol.

Perhaps people are actually different with endocrinological matters. I’ve had T up to 70-plus on HCG monotherapy and didn’t have one symptom.

This is a normal T value. How did you feel with that level? I ask because raising T in the normal range doesn’t do much if anything. More than doubling your T dose was highly unnecessary, and not TRT.

I also take 220mg per week. I dont have the negative symptoms you have though. my test levels are around 500 and I feel like this is very low for taking 220mg per week. I want to increase my dose.

Hey thanks for your input.

I felt my best at 200mg/week for a while, which put me at around 800ng/dl.

Then my feeling is, Estradiol caught up and maybe I’m someone sensitive to it. I started losing all the benefits I had found.

Libido went down, erection quality, energy, etc.

I’ll definitely try to stay at 120mg/week but with an AI and see what happens.

I’ve read a lot here and some people only feel good with E2 around 20-30 while I’m at 47…

I think you quoted the wrong guy. I have no symptoms on TRT.

I think I might be someone who responds unusually well to TRT. I take 100 mg per week and test at 700 to 1000 ng/dl any day of the week. My estradiol is usually in the 30s.

Damn bro I’m happy for you and jealous at the same time haha. Anyway, I’ll keep test mid range between 100-200 and use a very low dose AI and ramp up until I feel better !
