Add Carbs or Protein?

Is this for me? What is the question? Way too much sugar(even if it’s fruit) IMO

Did you specifically up the protein to combat these issues with satiety, or was it just a coincidence? Prior to that, were you still keeping fats chronically low?

I upped the protein to get more calories as well as satiety. I regularly used to have almond butter Tuesday’s and Thursday’s that I removed when I added more protein. That would have been some fat.

How much?

50g of this on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

So 5 out of 7 days in a week, you were keeping fats below 50g, and then for 2 days you’d get it just slightly over that. Is there a reason you keep fats so incredibly low? This can’t be good for your hormones. I feel like it would also explain why you struggle with satiety.

No reason, just not any foods in my diet with fat I guess.

I gotta assume your protein sources are a LOT of chicken breasts, protein shakes and white fish if this is the case.

Yes. Chicken, turkey cutlets, protein shakes, tuna, salmon, beef fajitas strips (some fats).

Your fat intake is way too low and not conducive to adding muscle. Increase your fat intake to 20-25% ? How is it possible to be consuming 50% of your macros from protein, unless your pounding protein shakes ?

I don’t want to eliminate the beef fajita strips as they would eliminate fats, but I eat a large salade with my lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Add some olives to it for some more fat?

Just add a little macadamia or avocado oil.
The best thing you could do id maintain a training/diet log so we can see what’s going on daily and help you adjust

Sorry read the macros wrong, but still increase your fat and decrease your carbs proportionally.

Should I start at aiming for 50 g of fat per day?

I feel like your getting lost in the weeds here.
If you wanna grow then follow macros/suggestions i gave above.

I’ll triple down I think your low fats have to be causing hormonal issues.

Let’s back up, though: didn’t we start by saying your goal is to gain weight and that’s not happening? Why are we concerned with decreasing satiety? Seems like a benefit?

Do you simply not like fatty meat? I’d honestly be concerned about manifesting symptoms of orthorexia reading through some of this.

That’s not the case at all.

I am going to try lowering my protein grams by taking out some protein shakes and increasing my fat intake in replacing those protein shake calories/macros.

Ditch the salad… useless. Add fats from animal sources or more fatty red meats
