Hey, sometimes you just gotta go with what’s around, lol.
Don’t count on these; my kid HATED them. Fiercely independent. But good for early AM or nap workouts.
Ha! Good to know. From what I have observed (one 17-month old niece and one 5-month old niece) they worked pretty well when the kid was very young and sleeping all the time, but I know they age out of that pretty quickly.
If anything, I’m more nervous about trying to keep a good training schedule once the child is mobile and requires constant attention / supervision. My 17-month old niece is a handful. Very fun and smiley, but doesn’t really self-entertain at all yet, needs continuous attention.
Not sure if they still make them, but my mom used to put me in this thing called a jumper once I became mobile. It’s basically a seat on bungees that hangs from a doorframe and allows the kid to well, jump haha. Apparently I used to jump myself to sleep (and continue sleep jumping) and it made her life a bunch easier.

Do you just throw the eggs on the top and let it cook that way?
I’m about to try to make something like that this weekend for sure!
Yup. Baked the potatoes for about 15 minutes in the skillet (in butter) to soften them a little; remove from oven; add chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes so the onions soften a little bit; add the pork sausage and cook for 5-10 minutes til brown; turn heat off, crack eggs into skillet and return to over for 2-3 minutes until the eggs are just barely set (yolks still runny).
Thank you kind sir!!!
Would a Bloody Mary be a good drink of choice with that meal?!?![]()
Tuesday 3/13
Spinning Bike (20 Minutes)
Tonight’s beer: an Imperial Coffee Marshmallow Stout (10.5% ABV) from Off Color Brewing in Chicago. I see what they are going for here - I get a hint of the “marshmallow” flavor and it’s definitely got the coffee as well. Very malty-tasting, too. Not bad. Still not as good as Dragon’s Milk, but not bad.

Long day at work, took it really easy this evening.
Tonight’s beer: Founders Breakfast Stout (8.3% ABV) from Grand Rapids, MI. Solid choice: dark, smooth, not bitter. Coffee & chocolate are detectable but not overly powerful.
I’m sure you’ve mentioned it before, but where do you find these beers? I want to get my dad some for Fathers Day this year. He appreciates a good beer like any other red-blooded American man
Honestly, usually just pick them up at the Whole Foods near my house (FYI: in Pennsylvania it is a recent change that one can buy beer in select grocery stores and gas stations. Used to be that you could only buy from a state distributor)
Thursday 3/15
Spinning Bike (20 Minutes)
Came home a little early from work today and did a quick spin on the bike. Heading to an NCAA basketball tournament game tonight (I grew up near Villanova - my dad went to law school there and we had season tickets when I was a kid - so I’m a longtime, diehard Cats fan).
Nice! KU played in my home town today. I’m a fan, but not enough to take off work and deal with the crowds. I went to San Antonio to watch them win the Championship in 2008 and although it was fun, I’m not sure it was worth the money. The view was better on TV compared to my seats.
Have fun and since Villanova’s game doesn’t affect my teams yet, go Cats!
