Did my farmer’s walks today because the weather tomorrow is supposed to get brutal and going outside (even for a few moments) may not be desirable. May pivot to a simple kettlebell-and-axle-press workout tomorrow. Notably, the deadlift singles at 405 both felt great today.

Bringing pull-ups back in, doing it slowly with low volume at first until I get a little re-conditioned to them and, frankly, lose a little extra holiday poundage. I let my weight drift up a bit this fall, but dropped from a high of 245 a few weeks ago to 241-242ish and will try to shed a pound or so per week until I’m back at my more appropriate 220-ish.

One of my ankles has been bothering me a little bit. Frankly, I think it’s my own fault - I started off doing my farmer’s walks in shoes that lacked any real ankle support & recently realized that my left ankle was getting more and more sore after those days with farmer’s walks. So from now on, I’ll make a point to wear shoes with proper ankle support for those, but I want to give it a week or two for that cranky ankle to calm down before I do “moving events” again. Luckily, the ankle doesn’t bother me squatting or deadlifting, just when on the move. All that said, that’s why I did a simple squat ladder today instead of the usual Strongman Event Saturday.
