One disclaimer I feel like I want to staple to every “strongman” workout I’ll do this spring - I’m starting with weights that may seem quite light for someone my size and strength on barbell movements…as noted before, really just want to get my body moving and used to the movements before I start really pushing weight on the events. I don’t want to get injured because my muscles told me I could do farmers’ walks with 200+ per hand but my joints weren’t ready for that yet. So look for the progression on these to be slow for the first few cycles, that’s done on purpose.
