Small personal announcement, I saw my upper body in the mirror yesterday and decided that my daily dose deadlift approach, for all that I enjoy it, has left my upper body too doughy and underdeveloped. So I ordered a bench from Rogue today and intend to start training with a slightly more traditional 4-day-a-week program (l’m thinking box squats, bench, back squat, and deadlift) with conditioning and assorted other stuff on the in between days. That’ll start next week.

Took it all pretty easy for my first real “upper body” workout in, like, years. I’ll try adding 5 pounds per week to bench as long as that’s working, hopefully getting to at least 225 with smooth sailing, until I start to generally approach weights from the long past when I actually bench pressed regularly.
