I see some 5’s and 3’s in there. Looks like you’ve been upping the volume a little bit!
On a side note, an employee of mine was complaining to me how he literally only has 30 minutes a day to exercise and he just doesn’t feel like he’ll get results with lifting. I showed him your log and the beginning of Jan 1, 2016:
Just goes to show that consistency really adds up over time! 20-30 minutes a day are plenty to get strong and bigger!
This was a pleasant surprise; I’ve lifted this and more before, but a) last night my wife had a show so we were our very late; b) I was awakened in the middle of the night with a sudden and extremely painful calf cramp - never happened to me before, but I yelped in pain and it took walking to the kitchen and a few minutes of stretching before it relaxed, and it was still painful this morning - for awhile, I was worried whether I’d even be able to squat today, so working up to a strong, easy double at 380 was a positive result for sure.
Also, today is my son’s first birthday, so that’s cool. Small family gathering, will be fun.
Yeah, this point occurred to me - we don’t really eat much packaged or processed food, cook just about everything ourselves with meat, fruit, veg. We don’t shy away from using salt in our cooking, but the amount we use in recipes probably pales in comparison to what you get in most prepackaged foods. So it’s definitely possible that in the heat of summer, I was a little shy on salt / electrolytes / potassium / whatever.
Anyways, I ate a couple bananas, pounded a few coconut waters, made myself a homemade sports-drink-thing with lemon juice, honey, and salt, and things now seem to be fine (it is weird - I still feel a little lingering tenderness, even two or three days later - but I think all is good).
Yeah, we did have a lot of fun. Only invited our parents, my brother/sister-in-law and their daughter, and our neighbors to keep the commotion down a little bit, but he was a little champ the whole time, toddled around babbling to everyone, did the smash cake thing, seemed excited when we opened presents.
