ghey … seriously though looking good
Nice FS PR bud, what kinda shoes you got on?
Awesome video. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin’ huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.
@spar, you love it. And thanks.
@Austin, thanks bro. My shoes are these Oly shoes: https://www.strengthshop.co.uk/clearance-sale/strength-shop-lokis-weightlifting-shoes.html
Very cheap, but they do a great job.
@Jacob, lmao, love it.

AM
Warmup: 20 bodyweight squats
Not enough!
Power Clean:
20kg x 5
40kg x 5
60kg x 3
70kg x 11 - cluster reps
Was not awake enough for squat cleans, but power cleans felt pretty amazing. Last two reps with 70 were super quick.
Dead hang pullups:
10
Pushups:
50
Notes:
My lats are pumped! Feel much more awake after this session than I did going in to it - felt proper groggy this morning.
PM
Warmups: 20 band dislocates, 20 bar dislocates, various light weight swings. Felt good.
Strict Press:
20kg x 5
30kg x 4
40kg x 3
50kg x 2
60kg x 1
70kg x 1 - easiest this has felt
Took my grip in a touch, felt better.
Push Press:
80kg x 1
85kg x 1 x 10 - Volume PR felt frickin’ awesome. Wrist wraps from set 7
Bodyweight: 84.3kg. yeah booiii. This was a lot of fun. Pretty huge poundage/volume PR too, only ever done 85 for a double before. Less than a minute’s rest between reps.
Handstand Pushup On Bumpers:
5 - this felt easy, should prob have kept going for a PR

Notes:
Fuarrr this was a great session. I was feeling MEGA tired but once I’d warmed up I put Appetite For Destruction on and got properly in the mood. Got a crazy pump in my shoulders and traps now. Wish I looked like this all the time!
Video:
Very very strong pressing man. So jelly.
The right music helps a lot to get in the zone. When I forget my music I’m über slow. The Master Of Puppets album is essential for my workouts.
Heavy weights being tossed around in here as usual bro, MY-RON.
Cool training, I’ve gone all CT now and gone for zero-music and all MM connection in training, it’s awesome but sometimes a little harder to get in the zone for top sets of squat/deadlift etc. (I just tend to shake the hell out of the bar like I’m throttling someone)
@Samoth, thanks man. Great shout on Master Of Puppets!
@Phlegms, thanks bro.
@Jake, yeah for most of my time I go without music. But adding music for me is like taking a huge shot of caffiene, so when I’m feeling a bit sluggish it’s awesome.

Pullups:

Nice and easy.
OHS:
I did a whole bunch of different sets and things with just the bar. Didn’t want to push the weight today as my shoulders were feeling very tight. Just worked on hitting ATG with the bar.
Stretched my shoulders out afterwards.
Back Lever - Tuck:

For the first time I mainly felt muscle pain rather than just “pain” doing these. Awesome.
Notes:
Feeling completely thrashed this morning so didn’t go heavy. Got in a fair amount of depth work on the OHS though which is good and everything else felt solid. Shoulders and traps feeling tight and tired.

Warmups: 15 air squats
Squats:
60kg x 6
100kg x 3
120kg x 2
130kg x 1
140kg x 1
150kg x 1
160kg x 2 - PR previous best is 150x3
Working on hitting parallel on these, not going any lower for today.
Notes:
Had very little time to hit it today. Got in, got focused and just worked up to a heavy double PR. No music, no belt, no wraps, just me and the bar and some squats. Felt good. Form felt very solid today.
Video:
Sweet PR… when I hit my 170kg squat I felt like I could have for sure doubled or tripled 160 but I doubt I’ll get the opportunity to go the heavy again for awhile.
OH SHIT BRO SHIRT COMIN OFF 4 PRz!!!
Nice work man, camera angle might’ve had something to do with it, but it didn’t look like you were too far from parallel- you’ll have it soon.
Sessi looking squatting, good progress as always. Have you ever thought about trying out Oly style squats for lulz to work on dept and kwaaaaad activation etc?
Sweet squattin Brosephine.

He does oly squat?
If you look at his majority of his videos he’s relatively narrow stance (compared to pl style) and going well below para, his knees also come forward first and he’s also wearing the same oly shoes I have from Strength shop. I think he meant he deliberately didn’t go as deep as possible on the latest session, correct me if I’m wrong jab.
We could all work on mobility/flexibility for even deeper squats though, besides phlegms aka. josh gilbert of course…

Looks like more of just a “regular” squat rather than a PL or Oly squat.
Good stuff. I gotta step up my squatting game.

Thanks dude. I like having my shirt off for the heavy sets because the bar “sticks” better to my skin. Less slip.
Those sets were definitely at least parallel - I was actually working on not going too low - see convo below. Sorry for da confoozuns!

Yeah, I’d say my stance is a kind of hybrid of the two, but it’s closer to Oly than power. It’s what I’ve found to work best at the moment with my height/leverages.
Phlegms, I tend to be too quad dominant as it is! And thanks for the kind words.
Jake you’re right - my issue with squats lately has been going too low, so on Friday I was working on actually squatting a little higher.

Thanks man, glad to have you up in hurr. I gotta step up my everything game to hang with you!
Yeah I’m only not going heavy because 5/3/1 never really takes you there, I will be throwing in some heavy singles after my work sets when I feel like it though.
Taken me ages to find this, in4gainz.
@Jake, ah teh 5/3/1 I see. I think that’s why I didn’t get on with it - weights not heavy enough for my ego lol.
@Sam, glad you found me big guy (some homo)

AM
Warmups: some air squats
Squat Clean:
20kg x some
30kg x 5
40kg x 3
60kg x 1
70kg x 1
80kg x 1 - PR (from the floor)
Turns out I’ve been herping the derp with cleans - just realised you are supposed to use the hook grip for these too. So I tried that out today. 80kg felt very easy and the form felt solid but it’s the most I’ve full cleaned so I left it on that positive note. Don’t want to push too heavy too soon, especially with a new grip!
Back Lever - Tuck

These are now so much easier I have unconsciously started straightening my body out more. Feels good man.
Notes:
Short but sweet session. Happy with how everything is progressing.
