Nice looking cleans, never thought of mentioning you should be using hook grip, I just assumed you were! You should try out some hang cleans to practice getting under the bar a little faster, could be worth a shot. Solid work all round though as per usual!

(weight x reps x sets.) Really got in the zone with these today. Everything felt strong and explosive.

80kg x 10 - 4rep PR! Felt so amazin’

Pretty fine session today. I came home from work early because there was no electricity so I had a nap and actually felt like a human during my session for once. Also got started working in earnest on a programme with my first online client - excited! He’s paying me back with love and compliments and telling everyone that I’m awesome and not any money but it’s a start lol.

In a slight downturn, the calf issue I mentioned last week looks like tendinitis. Gonna have to be wary of that. Got the ice pack on it now. Who the fuck gets tendinitis in their calf?

I’ve stopped doing them as of some time ago. My reasoning being, that when I got good at doing pull ups, the only thing they increased my strength in seemed to be pull ups… I saw some genuine all round pulling strength increases when I started going heavier on the strict pendlays.

I love pullups but they sure do suck when you’re gaining weight. Now I’m not in full on bulk mode they should catch up pretty well though.

I agree that they don’t seem to have much direct carry over to most other stuff… But I like what they do for my lats and they work my grip pretty hard, plus they’re just badass lol.

I swear music is like amphetamines for me. My tendinitis in my left calf was hurting like a bitch on my first work set - I put some music on and didn’t feel it again till after my session. No pain and I was hyped massively almost instantly. Then at the end it hurt like fuck lol. Time for a deload!
