I got a copy of the Monaghan article, plus a few related ones, if anybody wants them PM’d to them.
I believe that with anything, there will always be those people who over analyze everything. I see this constantly in sports. The real truth rests within us. What other people say or believe we do, and why we do it has never mattered to me, I’m at peace with where I am at.
I lift weights because if I didn’t, I would have flipped-out a long time ago. It’s my “away” time from life, that simple. It keeps me sane.
Here’s the real question.
If it improves your athletic ability, your physical and mental health, your sexual appeal, and how long you live, why the hell not?
edit: it just bugs me that bodybuilding has all these tangible positive gains to it aside from looking good nekid and people still bitch about the it and the people that do it.
