@EyeDentist - Are you OK over there? We keep watching this disaster. Terrible. Low body fat is NOT the way to go when trying to survive a flood.
@anon71262119, weāre fine, thanks for asking; the flooding is well south of us. (This time; our area had a serious-but-smaller-scale flooding event in March.) My son will be heading back to LSU (itās in BR) in a few days for the start of the Falll semester. Itās going to be hectic, to put it mildly.
Sorry to about the flooding in BR. My wife and I will be at the Bama game in November. Will you be there?
Thanks man. Itās tough times for those folks, most of whom donāt have flood insurance.
Probably wonāt be at the Bama gameāmy wifeās back in school, and wonāt want to give up a weekend of studying. Hereās hoping we can give yāall a game this year.
Bama nation is praying for our good friends in LA. The game will be another slugfest between two heavyweights. Pretty sure youāll be favored when the Tide come to town. We are staying in the FQ and taking a charter bus to BR. Let me know if you change your mind and decide to attend the game.
Glad to hear that. I wondered if your home was effected. Just devastating for those families.
Hopefully the university area where your son will be isnāt a disaster zone.
In other news, we have wildfires in the mountains - well inland from where we sit - but those people would love just a fraction of your rain. Yesterday my daughter and her friend were speculating about what would happen if it rained like that here, since we desperately need water. We were evacuated once for a brush fire. Our home was fine, but it was a scary thing to see a line of red flames on the hills behind us.
