i actually got a little confused, it sure didn’t seem as a slightly different angle low kick. When you talk about something like that i imagine the kubi/brazilian kick.
Bad technique… Weidman didn’t do anything amazing. Silva threw a stupid lazy shit technique and copped it. Weidman only just got his reflex check up and it worked in his favor. Shit technique coupled with hardest part of the knee will floor any man.
Got nothing to do with conspiracies, Weidman is dog shit crap. Vitor will murder him

At least none of the whacko conspiracy theorists can claim this one was fixed. [/quote]
Silva’s doctor will say he is 100% healed but will never be able to safely train or compete with kicks again. This whole thing was just to set up the boxing match with Roy Jones Jr.
How’s that? haha

And i hope VADA busts Belfort.

I never knew you could use your knee to block kicks, that’s awesome.
Such a knowledgeable guy, maybe it will get famous as the front kick after the Silva VS Belfort fight and we won’t be seeing anymore low-kicks with the same frequency or at least without set-up.
Silva is being pretty shitty about it, not giving Weidman credit for having trained for and pulled off that move intentionally (and doesn’t think he was really “beaten”):
Ray Longo’s and Chris’ explanations of how they specifically trained for that clearly prove otherwise, though.
I love that at least common sense is still around and people are calling him a sore loser around here =)

I literally laughed out loud a couple of times while reading that. I wonder what he is going to say when he gets beat decisively for the 3rd time?
To anyone who values their blood pressure: don’t read the comments in the article Damici posted.
And I thought Youtube comments were dumb…
I guess he is trying to rebuild his confidence by getting into easy fights.
Great fighter, but a shitty champion, just go away, I remember him spitting on Mia, I remember him dissing Dan Henderson after they’re fight. Acting like a dick in the ring with heavy weights. Truely a great fighter in a class of his own, but a dick, and now it’s time to go away
who is MIA ?
It was Mia, but it’s spelled Maia, my mistake, that was the last Silva fight I payed for, because it was a waste of time, mostly because Maia layed on the ground the whole fight, but Anderson was spitting in the ring, and acting like a dick as well. In any sport you need to show respect to the generation before you, and the sport as a whole. This guys a dick, granted a talented dick, but glad to see him go.
In order to find Maia’s name, I had to call up a list of Silva fights, never really looked at it before, a long career, but not alot of tough fighter’s that he’s faced really. A couple big names, but mostly give me’s. Compared to say GSP’s list ( granted not near the fighter) but the list of GSP’s fights, is a who’s who at 170, all tough fights. Anyway just somthing I noticed. later

I don’t think UFC ever looked to give Silva easy defences on his 185lbs belt, his fights in 205 were very favorable stylistic matchups though. I think its more the case of 185 just not being as though of a division as 170. Other than that, I do agree with your point about Silvas disrespectful acts in the octagon, I was one of the fans he lost with the Maia fight.
