Shouldn’t have 5 kids if all you can do is make license plates.
It is great to look at “should, coulda, woulda”, huh?
It’s FIVE KIDS… FIVE shoudla woulda coulda’s. 45 months worth of time to consider your choices. I’m a charitable guy, but come on…

Good post.
People were doing them with a closet hanger even when there were clinics.
Abortion clinics made it safer so people didn’t die doing it themselves.
So we should make raping legal? Murder is illegal too and that is happening. Should we legalize that?
If you are for taking away welfare, then you are for people dying also.
I am not for anything that takes away the control of the ability for an individual to protect their own body…and this case, it becomes more complicated…because it is that woman’s body and a child’s potential life.
However, what we do know is the woman is CONSCIOUS and THINKING and should have the right to protect her own body any way she feels needed…including here.
Rape does not allow control of her body.
Murder of a conscious mind is loss of life.
Either be for protecting that kid through his entire life…or let that woman do what she feels with her own body.

I doubt anyone would disagree. The problem is letting a child suffer for something it has no control over.
Like I said, make the parents pay for them even if it means they are indentured servants for the rest of their lives.

I’m not surprised that you COMPLETELY missed the point.

Faced with that do you think abortions will really stop or just go underground again.

It is two lives. That is the issue…not just the kid’s life or the mom’s life…and I would personally say the one with a conscious mind has the responsibility to look out for herself first.
It is not 2 lives. It is 1 life and 1’s freedom. Unless I’ve missed that woman are dying in child birth by the thousands.
Don’t agree. 9 months is nothing compared to an average life span of what 70 years.

45 months vs all of the years that it took to create a person who would have 5 kids while being unable to care for them without welfare. It isn’t easily undone. It’s like telling a lifetime drug addict, “Just Say No.”

So the government needs to enact some type of slavery system to force people who can’t support their children already to provide for them? (likely people lacking job skills or education)

Or mothers will just abandon their babies.

Yes because the issue in America is that educated people with money are having bigger families while uneducated people with less money are not having kids.
Oh wait, that’s not what’s happening at ALL.
Again, low income families only have about half of the abortions annually in America from what I’ve read.
If the Felon above has 5 kids, he might want to try a different abortion clinic, cause it ain’t working.
So what’s your solution. Force them to have an abortion?

Well, that’s a whole other level of stupidity isn’t it.
Maiden3.16 wrote:
You would prefer the kid dead than someone having to care for it?
That’s the question: someone (taxpayers) will have to care for it but those who are vehemently against abortion tend to also be against public assistance. They also, incongruously, tend to be for laws like stand your ground. On the one hand life is sacred, on the other, if given the choice to disengage or kill (legally), they choose kill.
You could make the same double standard for the anti-abortion group. On one hand someone has a right to get money from the govt. to survive, but an unborn baby does not have a right to live. On one hand life is sacred, on the other hand, not so much.
The stand your ground law is probably the worst comparison you can make. Is the unborn baby choosing to attack the mother and the mother is defending herself by aborting it?? Nice.

All abortions are unwanted children. Why would I force anyone to have an abortion? You’re the one trying to force people to do stuff. I would love for unwanted children to be at 0 and abortions to be at 0. So would pretty much any pro choice person that I’ve ever met.

I can’t stop people from trying to kill their baby in their own house. All I can do is try and stop the “legal” killing of children. As oxymoroic as that sounds.
No it will probably go underground, but like I said, there’s not much I can do about that.
So what’s your solution. Force them to have an abortion?
I’m only half joking about this, but I hear that living off of welfare is really quite comfortable. How about if for each additional child we REDUCE the check they receive or at minimum it stays the same instead of incentivising additional children.

How many are adults with an ability to care for a child? I don’t have the stats but when you say household does that mean a 14 year old girl whose parents are not poor would be considered not poor? Not only that, a household may not be poor but having a child might change that.

Well when you put it that way it sounds awful, but I don’t see it as slavery. More like court ordered child support for both parents.
