Not race more socio economic.

You know there is a higher population of black people in citites, higher crime rates, drug use, welfare and unwed parents and such.

So if you don’t like what the statistics suggest do soemthing to change it.

Everyone is where they want to be in life. If you don’t want to be there do something about it quit crying about it.

You know I may not have grown up in the ghetto with no one but my mother raising me on food stamps.

My mom worked about 60hrs a week and my dad worked 2 jobs, I worked all through highschool.

If you don’t like your reality change it.

Did you just blame fathers not raising their own families on “liberal social programs”? Did Welfare make fathers leave?

No one denied that. I brought up how there are little to no relations of white people to negative statistics on a national stage that anyone would truly give a shit about. Care to deny that? Is anyone losing any sleep about more divorces currently?

Other than my accent? For some reason my interviews with people from the north just don’t go as well.

It’s just one of those things that sucks and isn’t fair. But life isn’t. And yes, it happens to everyone.

Look at the past election, did Obama get looked at for his race? Yes. What about McCain? I think most people saw him as the typical crotchety old white guy republican. Fair?

I know that if a company passed on me for those stereotypes, it was them who missed out, not me. If you really get down to it, I wouldn’t want to work for people like that anyway.

If you want to get pissed off at all the junk science, or ignorant people, then your life is going to suck whether you are right or wrong, justified or not. To quote American History X (one of my favorites) hate is baggage. If you are attempting to carry around 100s of years of slavery, repression, and rasism, it’s going to get heavy fast.

If you are being your own respectable man, that’s all you or me or anyone can do. Other people can either recognize it and toe the line, or lose out on a good friend, employee, est.

They have done some harm, created tension because some of the movements have granted special interest groups what could be seen as more that equal rights.

Again, that is very convenient when you don’t rely on a society that works against you on many levels like was seen in this country even 25 years ago.

No one is saying they expect things to be fair across the board, but if you can’t see the end result of a CONSTANT attempt to label minorities as the root of major social ills, then this debate was over before it started.

The Civil Rights Act has nothing to do with the social ills of the black community. I bet we have more men that call women “baby momma” than “my wife”. Thats because over 70% of all black children (including me) grow up without a father. Civil rights is about civil rights not about guys who see no problem with running around getting women pregnant.
