Ive never really focussed on abs what so ever, and i really want to start to hit them on a reqular basis. So just wondering what has worked for some of you lifters. I really want to avoid high rep sets and dont have weighted ab machines in my home gym so their out of the question. Thanks in advance
So you can’t add resistance to your abdominal movements and you’d rather not do anything in the higher rep ranges? lol.
planks and triceps kickbacks… not to many kickbacks or you’ll get the urge to rip stop signs out of the ground and yell hulk smash
squats and milk
no seriously
i get a good pump from having sex, about 5000 reps
Ofcourse i add resistance!!! Their are thousands of different ab routines, obviously some more effective than others which was my intended question. But hey, you guys are too funny to answer a simple question huh.

Yes there are many ab routines / NO some are NOT more effective than others. Lifters fail established programs-programs do not fail lifters. Pick one and get after it…if you don’t get the results you want…look into your effort first and the program paticulars second.
squats and hanging leg raises
Take your protein powder and flush it down the toilet and and go pick some grass off of the ground. It acts as a thermogenic and burns fat from the inside.(6 pack a week a way) Protein powder will counter act all of the grass’s great effects. said with much sarcasm
seriously though I do two ab workouts a day and they take no more than 5 minutes a piece and have had great success (along with a good, clean diet)
first workout - right when you wake up 20 crunches, 20 kness ins, twenty leg lifts, twenty bicycles, and twenty wheel rolls, i call it the 100 rep wakeup
second workout - same thing i call it the 100 rep goodnight
You know, for as stupid as this thread is, it’s all the following posts that are ruining the Bodybuilding forum.
OP: If you’re trying to strengthen your “core (whatever the hell that is,)” do heavy work. Weighted pull downs, Decline sit-ups with plates, etc. Not that complicated. Also: If you’re not making progress, you’ll want to check your intensity.
well what ab machines do you have?
And why are you trying to avoid high rep sets?
