A Stupid War to Die In

My friend sent me a link about this site awhile ago and I thought it was a joke. Reminds me of the Simpson’s episode with the commy-nazis.

-10 points for using the word “methinks.” I’ll be watching out for “blessed be” in future posts, or “Gods!” when you become exasperated with all the lesser intellects you find yourself confronted with. You a member of the SCA?

I’m in agreement.

In addition to being an individualist, anarchist, and egoist, I consider myself a rationalist. You needn’t lecture me on how to argue, since I consider myself a master of the art; I have not been beaten yet. Well-formed arguments consist of a logical progression of facts that culminates in a central thesis. For an argument to be solid, the “chain” of facts comprising it must be iron-clad as well. And the facts that I use to construct all of my arguments are just that. [/quote]

Unfortunately Al, so far, irrespective of your self image, the impression you give off is that of a child standing in the middle of his room with his hands over his ears screaming “I’m right and I can’t hear you! I CAN’T HEAR YOU! La la la la la!”

I will say this much for you: You’ve learned a lot of interesting ways to label your own arguments correct. If you put that much effort into understanding what other people wrote to you, perhaps these threads would get somewhere.

BTW, a little side note FYI: No need to hyphenate “well-formed” or well with just about anything. Well is an adverb, and adverb phrases don’t require hyphenation. Compound modifiers are generally hyphenated to make it clear what they modify, but in the case of adverb phrases it’s clear without the hyphen.

By the way, I’d say that 95% of the people on this board are completely ignorant of the world around them. You’re part of that majority. Noone here has come within miles of refuting one of my arguments. If you disagree, then feel free to point out an example. All I’ve seen you do is talk about how much I’ve been getting my “ass kicked,” without referring to any specific examples. Now $10 says you’re going to dig up the beaten-to-death “Austrian domination” argument from the other thread, which I already addressed fully and completely and which you never bothered to follow up on.

Would that be the world as defined by Little Al Shades? Or would that be the real world.

Please define your world for me, as I have forgotten what the universe of a high-schooler is comprised of.

We are in two different realms, you see Little Al. I lve in the world where you go to work, pay bills, and go to little league games.

Your world has none of that - except for the little league part, but the difference there is I go to watch my kids play, and you go to be in the game.

In order to take your message to the ignorant masses, musn’t you first learn to drive?

Seriously, if you think everyone but you is as ignorant as you proclaim, how will you ever be able to sell your message to them? You have so rudely insulted most everyone on these boards, that even if you had a good message, it has been ignored. Not because of this ignorance you speak of, but because you are a little ass.

This “stupid war” , “mislead into the war” crap is really starting to piss me off. Do a little research and see how many Democrats spoke about how Saddam Hussein was a threat to the U.S. back when Clinton was president. And why is this a “stupid war”? It’s not a stupid war if you are an Iraqi citizen who risked his (or more amazingly) her life to have the opportunity to vote for the first time. And don’t give me this crap about our soldiers not knowing what they are doing there. Here is just one example of positive stories the MSM doesn’t want you to hear: http://www.theunionleader.com/articles_showa.html?article=52281

Sometimes it’s not enough to sit around on your hands and pretend that if you tell people they are bad and please start behaving then everything will be ok. I shudder to think what would have happened in WWII if today’s liberals were around! As it was we sat on our collective ass and waited until Hitler paraded around Europe for years until we decided to do something about it. We pass all these BS resolutions so we can feel like we are doing something, but when it comes to backing it up with action, well sheesh, we can’t do that. All talk, no action - doesn’t sound T-Nation to me!

Non-pacifist individualist anarchist egoist, or urchin, boy, son, young one adolescent, imp, juvenile-

Look at your tiny little paycheck. They are stealing from you man. You gonna take that? A pacifist would and you certainly aren’t one, or so you say. You going to let them “dominate” you like Austria “dominated” Europe?

BTW, if Stalin was in fact “purely an isolationist” then why were there Bolshie advisors and airmen as well as non-pacifist NKVD agents in Spain in 1936? Are you going to tell me that Spain is a border state of Russia? Maybe Trotsky did it and pinned it all on Uncle Joe.

Ayn Rand- is that you? You aren’t coming back to haunt We the Living are you? Whatever you do, don’t try to have this impressionable young boy try to hump Nathaniel Brandon’s leg. That’s just gag me with a spoon GROSS!!

I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Al

You are pathetic. When you have actually accomplished something with your life let me know.

You are so pathetic you do not even realize how foolish your continued posting has become.

Doesn’t school start back up soon?

No one has come within miles of refuting your arguments…are you on crack or something?

I think we have overestimated your intelligence…do you know how to read. Seriously, if you can make that statement without laughing out loud you may be illiterate boy.

Your not worth it Al. Men don’t pick on boy’s. Especially a lame ass like you. It isn’t sporting.

Well gentlemen…do you feel bested by Al’s withering arguments? Hmm? Didn’t think so.

Get some rest AL. You need it.

I agree. What are the other essential components, in your opinion?

As for myself, I’d definetly spring for the “fight club” idea, provided that the fights were evenly matched based on age or weight (I’m 17, 145). I don’t have any MMA training like so many others here (karate lessons at 9 don’t count), but I think that oriental fighting techniques are largely over-rated and more for show than actual use. I’d be more wary of a seasoned boxer than any blackbelt. But ultimately, the best fighters are those who fight without rules. To tell a fighter what he can and can’t do in the ring and call it a “sport” runs contrary to the primal nature of fighting. I’m a very confrontational person and would relish the opportunity to test my fighting ability against others of similiar age or weight.

Any takers near Boston, feel free to PM me.

Hey Al

I disagreed with the war, and the way it was started, and a lot of American foreign policy, but I still think your article is a load of pessimistic BS with NOTHING insightful. The attempt to predict the fate of another country is pathetic, unjustified and passive.
I pray that the US, along with all other occupying countries, will not subscribe to your doom and gloom scenario, and will continue to chip away at the network of terrorism that is so obviously infesting the Middle East. You should think twice about posting something so long winded which essentially only says ‘War is bad, especially this war’. I’m not sure what kind of positive responses you expect from this axiomatic, dull-witted copy and paste job.

Hedo,

Wow - being 145 pounds and being confrontational.

Sounds like a recipe for winding up in traction.

“Any takers near Boston?”

All Little Al needs to do is go outside and start running his mouth - I’m sure he’d find a ‘taker’ within minutes.

But…wait…that would require him to get up from behind is monitor and…gasp…go outside.

I love you Al!!!

“You’re all “laughing” at my age, not my content.”

Wrong. I’m laughing at every facet of your life. Your “bring it on” attitude at age 17, weight 145, your “infallible logic” comments, being a deciple of Harry Browne-star, and your “arguments.”

"If I hadn’t chosen to reveal it, you’d be up in arms over my posts and wouldn’t be able to vent your frustration with an endless stream of boring and ignorant comments about my “youth”

Wrong. I was smacking you around before you chose to reveal your inexperience.

“By the way, I’d say that 95% of the people on this board are completely ignorant of the world around them.”

Thanks. I love well researched statistics.

“You’re part of that majority.”

If you are one of the 5% who are “informed,” I’ll take that as a compliment.

“Noone here has come within miles of refuting one of my arguments.”

You are so far behind, you think you are ahead. Nice perspective.

“If you disagree, then feel free to point out an example.”

See each one of my posts.

“All I’ve seen you do is talk about how much I’ve been getting my “ass kicked,” without referring to any specific examples.”

“Now $10 says you’re going to dig up the beaten-to-death “Austrian domination” argument from the other thread, which I already addressed fully and completely and which you never bothered to follow up on.”

Please see my most recent posts. You asked for specific examples of why the A-H Empire shouldn’t have been considered dominant. I gave you three links that showed conclusively that the A-H Empire was the “weakest of the Central Powers.” This included in land mass, GDP, military, and political influence.

It was you, my light-weight friend, who decided to dodge. A man (including many young men) would have admitted his error.

You are blind adherent of silly, old, Harry Browne-Star.

Good luck on your AP English test. If I were you, I wouldn’t hint at your silly political leanings. You’ll receive a score of one on your essays.

OK I just got done laughing so hard I thought I was going to vomit.

More examples of a guy that knows nothing of which he speaks, speaking away. Al, do you know your Dad? Are you an only child? Why doesn’t anyone in your house disabuse you of your attitude? At 5’10" and 145 lbs. you have never been in a fight (naturally, as you’re still alive) but are trying to advise guys with MMA training how to fight?

Do you own nunchucks or throwing stars? Are you that guy?

Here’s an idea. Go try out for your school’s wrestling team. There would be a bunch of guys your height and age. You could have all the confrontation that you could possibly handle. You would go in and start telling them what they were doing wrong and how your “style” was far superior. I bet your teammates would go out of their way to break you within a week. There would be nothing you could do to stop them.

I would like to repost this gem in its entirety.

Apparently our little egoist pal, Al wrote these words:

Oh, my God!!!

Al, if you can pass the physical, I must demand that you join your high school football team.

It will teach you the humility that you are desperately crying out for. You will learn about teamwork. The other guys on the team would immediately identify you as the weak link. They would educate you in a hurry.

Immediately cease your after school meetings, and join that team.

Do you have the stones?

JeffR

Al would you please post pics? You don’t know how much laughter you have been bringing me since you started posting. Some pics of your “physique” would just be icing on the cake. Be sure to stand next to a man’s leg so we can have a sense of scale.

Please!

DAMMIT GUYS!!!

You probably scared him off now. Good work, ya jerks! Now we have to wait for JustTheFacts or some other freak to post something…

Don’t worry!!! He’s in his first few weightlifting sessions for football.

He’s being educated.

He’ll come back new and improved.
