A Strong Squat, Brutal Bench Press, Dauntless Deadlift, and Massive Military press are as easy as 5/3/1

Hmm I hear you, I’m stalling from doing some Government work.
I’ll give you a sammich if you write about the political differences between the US and Norway.

I get so lazy just a few weeks before the end of the semester. If they make the semesters any longer, I’ll go mad. Mad I tell you.

Eww Government. Meh I’m a science dork. You can have your paper on the political differences b/w the US and Norway, and I’ll have my OChem and BioChem (fack I hatez BioChem with a passion, yet oddly like OChem).

I am definitely feeling you on the laziness. It seems that senioritis from high school never really goes away.

Good thing we have lifting to keep us sane

My government teacher is so dumb! On the tests, he puts “all of the above” for choice A!
facepalm

My astronomy teacher also does that. He’s notorious for that. I don’t know what’s so hard about putting all of the above as the last choice. They’ll make it Choice A, choice B, Choice C.

One question looked like this:

A. Blah
B. Blah
C. Blah
D. Neither A or B

$%^&?! That will mean that either C or D can be the right answer!!

/rant

Lol I have sophoritis

Oy if I didn’t have weights, I’ll probably drink until my liver failed.

Hahahaha that’s hilarious. But I’m sorry for your misfortune :frowning:

A few of my professors leave me wondering why they are professors, but such is life. Thankfully I’ve got some pretty awesome ones.

If I didn’t have weights I’d…probably waste away playing video games.

Misfortune is right lol

You’re right, I’ll play video games too. I got WET that I still didn’t get to play yet. Well, not very much.

Very nice. I don’t even remember the last time I played a video game. It’s been ages since I’ve played one that has come out recently.

Cycle 3, Week 1, Day 3
Wednesday 4/13/11

DB rows
10x80
10x100
2x5x120
10x80
10x100
5x120

Push press
somexsomex95
5x115
5x135
5x155
5x3x160

DB rows felt pretty good. Push presses were another story. Basically had a less than stellar session because I didn’t get the best sleep last night and didn’t eat as much as I should have. But it’s all good now, I’m scarfing down some Korean BBQ

Wow Googling Korean BBQ and I gotta say that I’m jealous.

Sorry the session was less than stellar ;(

No worries, less than stellar sessions happen.

omfg I <3 korean bbq. We have places here where you have to grill your own meat, but it’s all you can eat! bulking heaven lol.

I want your damn front squat!

I’m already wanting some more of it :frowning:

I will trade my front squat for your every other lift

I’ve decided that I’ll be going back to plain and simple 5/3/1 after tomorrow squattin’ session.

I think I’m too much of a beginner to be worrying about how I’ll going out applying some form of progression that’ll work for the way I’m training. Plus I’m too newbish to be using weights so close to my max so frequently. That’s not to say that I won’t be putting in good work. I’ve just realized I need to train optimally, not necessarily maximally.

But I will probably keep the reps lower with some of my assistance so that I can use relatively higher weights. So I’ll be alternating b/w my use of the BBB assistance template and the ‘whatever the hell I feel like doing’ assistance template lol.

Feels good to just go back to plain and simple

When do you usually lift? Just wondering if I’ve ever seen you.

On Wednesday and Friday I’m usually in Gregory gym from 4 until whenever I finish.

Now that you mention it I may have seen you once, and for some reason am under the notion that I’ve seen you in one of my classes. Seeing as I don’t always see guys comparable in size.

Ahh ok. I’ve been getting there pretty late as of late, usually around 6:30, so I probably miss you.

Oh really? What’s your major?

I see.

Yeah, I may have seen you in my ancient Rome class. I’m a chem major lol. You?

OMG you’re in that class!? we need to study together. I’m graduating in a month and I seriously cannot get myself to study. I got a mid B on the second test. How’d you do?

Hit me up on Facebook (Alex Dale).

Hahaha yeah I am in that class. Yeah, after the first test I’ve been finding it harder and harder to actually do something for that class.

I also got a mid B, which was a pleasant surprise considering how awful the test seemed.

Will do.

5/3/1 is usually a pretty safe bet for sure.

That’s actually pretty cool that you actually have a class with someone on T-Nation that you didn’t know beforehand.
