A statin during cycle

Is it ok to take a statin durin cycle to keep your cholesterol down?

Were you prescribed a statin by your doctor? Or are you attempting to proactively self medicate?

I guess I’m being proactive I mean I just gave blood for labs this morning. I’m pretty sure my cholesterol levels are elevated since my hand keeps tingling in bed even though I’m in my fifth week of PCT so it just got me to thinking if the doctor does prescribe me a statin is that okay to take while on cycle?

Your doctor might be able to give you some insight. Ask he if could safely take TRT and take something to lower your cholesterol.

This conversation begs the questions:

  1. How old are you?
  2. Do have a history of blood tests ?
  3. Have you fully addressed a diet and cardio program that supports raising HDL and lowering LDL?
  4. What goals are you attacking in regards the assistance of AAS?

my total cholesterol :136
Triglycerides:37 HDL:75 LDL:51 Non-HDL Chol:61

So my LDL is 3x yours without a statin (genetic/probable heterozygous FH) and my HDL is 35-45. On statins my lipid profile looks closer to yours (I respond very well) albeit with lower HDL

My sub-fractions are uniquely atherogenic (because as specified my dyslipidemia is genetic… so it’s both poor ratios and pro-atherogenic lipid profile)

I mean if you’re taking a ton of tren or are super sensitive go for it but your lipid profile is amazing… I don’t think there’s any benefit to someone like YOU taking statins.

Those numbers look great.

On cycle, supplement with red yeast rice and citrus bergamot.
Do daily fasted cardio.

Don’t eat like an asshole.

Thank you that was one of the most useful replies I’ve had so far. How long do you typically wait after fasted cardio to eat in order to get the full benefit?

Consider supplementing with 6 grams of balanced omega 3 and 6 fats as well.

I feel that waiting 20 to 30 minutes is sufficient after the fasted cardio.
Try to keep your steps high.

I am for 100 steps between sets in the gym. This makes a material difference in weekly calorie burn.

I use the rowing machine for cardio. Ill do 15-20 minutes. Whats considered a step?

Walking. Steps between your lifting sets.
Active recovery.

I do that now instinctively. I will try counting.

You can probably assume 75 to 100 steps per minute.
