Just got a free Medicare part C supplement from UHC through AARP. It covers membership at a bunch of gyms. It is either similar to or a replacement deal for Silver Sneakers they call it.
I’m 53 so young for the benefit but thought I’d share the info in case maybe it’d help anyone.

Yep, soldiers who are injured to the extent it warrants a 30% or more VA disability rating are retired as if we’d served a full twenty years. But I distinctly recall a soldier in personnel saying, while we were signing papers, “If you get hurt while you serve we will take care of you for the rest of your life.”
I did my part, their turn.
But below 30% gets a disability discharge w/o long term benefits or pay whereas 30% or more gets the whole nine.
