Not long ago, the movie was scheduled for 2011 and up until now, there seemed to be talk about a lot of the original 1995 cast returning. But it’s been rumoured since the 90’s it seems and the original cast is pushing their 50’s so it’s getting a little late.
The clip makes me cling to the 90’s. Back when you could actually tell what’s going on without night vision goggles and all the moves were clearly discernible.
Hate to burst your bubble guys but this is simply a movie pitch, it’s not 100% this movie will be made. However there is a new Mortal Kombat movie in the works, just not the one you guys see in this video.

this looks like it will do it justice. MK was such a bloody game and if I remember the first movie had a PG13 rating (to appeal to it’s audience in it’s defense) but then there was only one drop of blood on one guys lip which wasn’t at all like the game.

Yeah, and I get really tired of every scene in every movie being shot through colored filters (or however they do it). I’d love to watch a film that isn’t just a blue scene followed by a green scene, etc…

Exactly, the game was very controversial and edgy, the movie should be the same exact way. This movie needs to be rated R.
Something tells me this is gonna play into the reboot of the Mortal Kombat games. Did anyone else notice that Baraka is the dude from Ong Bak who did capoeira?
