psst, just bit torrent it from any reputable torrent site.

Not that I approve of such a thing.

ed - ah sorry, just noticed the ‘stream’ part of your question.

The more you read the series it becomes apparent that the story is more about the realm and families rather than the characters themselves, Martin pulls no punches when it comes to death and mutilation.

Here’s all the episodes if you want to watch 9, or any others.

Enjoy

It came to my mind that the first thing we see of Eddard is how he beheads someone with a sword while his young son is forced to watch.
Now he got beheaded by a sword while his young daughter was forced to not watch.

Holy crap I can’t believe Ned pussed out and confessed to that shit anyway. I know he was trying to save his daughters but still, I was disappointed in him.
That little Joffrey cunt needs to die.

Lol! Yea I agree about Joffrey however I also want to see his kingdom crumble as the horde and White Walkers descend upon them all. Can’t wait to see his shit-eating grin turn to tears as he displays the boy he really is.

IF that actually happens. I’ve not read the books so I’m only guessing.

I’m torn about Ned. I’m pretty sure the reasons for his false confession are developed more in the book and as much about wanting to save thousands of his countrymen and kin from the horror of war. His confession will have BIG repercussions on the future of his house and I’m sure he was aware of that when he was considering everything. The big question is - is pride and honour more important than the lives of your family?

I’m guessing Ned’s ultimate answer was no.

edit - a great character, going to miss him!

Yeah, but on the flip side remember Ned Stark’s reasoning - if you condemn someone to death, you should be the one to carry out the sentence (if you’re an honorable person). Stark killed the guy himself after passing judgment.

Geoffrey gave Stark the death sentence and had someone else kill him (not to mention he reneged on the deal which was supposed to keep Stark alive), which shows he had no honor. (I know the sword was 3 times the Geoffery’s height, but still.)

I missed the first half hour of that episode so I don’t know how they set up the scene but I read the book - if I remember correctly, they threatened the life of his daughter(s) and said if he confessed, then they’d have a safer life vs if he didn’t.

Well the eunuch hinted towards that but it wasn’t really fleshed out at all. It was said more as a passing remark as he left Ned to consider his fate.

Thats not what i got from it. You have to remember that geoffry, little cunt that he is, believes himself to be the rightful king via his birth - which is a sham. the problem is all the adults were schemeing in the background without realising that they put someone on the throne who isnt in on their plot. the new king therefore makes his own decisions. if i were a memeber of that crowd at the execution, i would have thought that it was a strong and wise decision from the true king.
hopefully that comes back to Cerci and her lemon-chewing expression and bites here in the arse

Dude got stabbed by a bottle

I got extremely confused on episode 7. Why did that brothel owner lord dude ( I keep forgetting his name ) went through all the trouble of setting himself as a Stark ally, rallying the City’s Watch in his favor, going up against the Canisters, only to turn and betray Start at the end, why not simply betray him when the king died ? Wtf.

But I didn’t pay much attention when I was watching the episode. Anyone knows where I can find the books ?

His name is Littlefinger, and the thing is he isn’t a lord. He got to where he was in life (basically the treasurer of the kingdom) because he’s smart as shit. However, he’s really insecure about not being a lord, so he was going to back whoever would promise him a lordship. Ned turned him down, because Ned thinks that the truth is what matters and that others are as honorable as he is. So Littlefinger betrays Ned and backs the Lannisters instead. He doesn’t really give a shit who the king is.

Basically, Ned sucks at playing the game of thrones because he is fixated on honor and loyalty. Littlefinger is really good at it because he’s willing to betray anybody it takes to get ahead.

Reading this thread is like going through all the thoughts I had when I first read the book. God this series is amazing!

Last episode tonight. I hope it’s available to watch tomorrow morning (European time)!

Looking good. Can’t wait! I’m going to miss this series.

Anyone knows how long before the 2nd season?

I don’t think I’ll have the patience to read all the books…

Production is set to start in around 3 weeks if I remember correctly, but no idea how long it takes to film 10 hours of footage or if they are going to be recording episode by episode now.

I will be starting the books tomorrow.

fuck cause its over
fuck cause i dont care about drago or the darthraki
fuck cause sansa didnt push geoffery off the edge
fuck cause ned is dead (even tho that was last episode)
fuck cause they barely covered anything to do with the war
fuck!!!

i require 24 episode seasons every 6 months. cmon hbo step your game up.
