A Game of Thrones (Trailer)

Too right you do. After watching Spartacus (both series) the amount of peen on display in Game of Thrones seems negligible so I’m not sure why so many of you are complaining.

As for the gay scenes, I’m all for it (being a red-blooded woman and all), but it would have helped if the Knight of the Flowers actually had actually spent some time in the gym.

Sex aside, great show - and one of the few I can comment on because we get it only a day later in the UK instead of having to wait months. The crown scene was pretty brutal and unexpected (I’ve not read the books) but I can’t say he didn’t have it coming. Good on Dany.

If you are posting in this website, I’d say you go to the gym. Do you feel uncomfortable there as well?

I think it’s fair they show both genders nudity. Plus, we got that hot lesbian scene while Littlefinger was talking!
Well, there’s no one showcasing their penis in the gym, so no i dont feel uncomfortable there. How bout your gym?

Sure there’s plenty of naked women. Since I like women, I aint complaining about them! Naked men on the other hand…

fuck it. it’s a great show.
I think you would like Spartacus then.

There is no male nudity in there whatsoever.

Unreal fan service of epic lesbian proportions- yet still complainin’.

well…i liked it for the wimenz. But the overly cgi blood etc etc threw me off.

It’s true, im sorry.

Potentially big spoiler/theory:

After reading the books I had the idea that Jon Snow was actually the son of Ned’s sister (cant remember her name atm) and the Targaryan prince Rhaegar and the way they showed it in the TV show last night pretty much confirmed it. You’ll notice that he never calls Jon his son, he always says “he has my blood.” (GRRM did this in the book like 20 times before I noticed it) And the way they talked about Rhaegar and Neds Sister makes me think GRRM must have told the directors so they wouldn’t contradict themselves later on in the series after GRRM reveals it. Jon is gonna ride a dragon
MORE SPOILER MAYBE

I am thinking Jon Snow is Robert Baratheon’s bastard. They keep saying “the seed is strong” and just think the Targaryeon’s are all blue eyed and white haired, the Lannisters are blonde, but the Baratheon’s are dark haired and dark eyed. Like the Starks also. But it would be something for that to dominate over the white hair and light eyes of the Targaryeon’s. I just don’t know why he would keep it a secret.

No - Robert’s bastard was shown earlier in the season. He was the blacksmiths apprentice. His name is Gendry, and he’s got a part to play in all this yet.

Actually Robert has a lot of bastards and the former King’s Hand was tracking them down to prove “the seed is strong.”

If Jon Snow is a Targaryen then why doesn’t he have white hair and blue eyes?

I suppose we will find out in July after the last book comes out.

He has dark hair because of Stark genes. Same reason John Arryn/Ned knew that Joffrey/Tommen/whatever her name is are Jamie and Cersei’s kids. If they were Robert (black hair) and Cerseis (blonde), they would have turned out with dark hair. The other Targaryens are all blonde because they were a bunch of inbreeders, but Jon is a product of a Targaryen and a Stark.

I think “the seed is strong” is a reference to dark hair being the dominant gene compared to blonde.

And why would Roberts bastard be living with the Starks? He has a bunch of others and he’s already shown he doesn’t care about any of them.

Hey it is just another theory. Where was it in the books that the Targaryen’s were in-breeders? I read the books but I didn’t remember that part.

He would live with the Starks he is also a Stark. I do concede that your theory wraps up why no one knows who Jon’s mother is and if he is part Targaryen why Eddard wouldn’t want to let Robert know because of how much he hates them.

we will see in July hopefully.

I think you need to meander on over to your Gym’s locker room, lol.

SPOILER

The Targaeryen did inbreed the whole time.
It’s also mentioned in the TV series here and there. For instance, the first scenes with Dany and her brother are kinda sick since he’s fondling her titties. Cercei tells Ned openly that her affair should be judged according to these standards. Etc

Jon is probably Raegar’s son, because it all makes so much sense. Not only is honorable Ned’s “affair” more plausible (there was none, it’s a coverup), we can also assume he’s lying because Robert would have killed Jon (He’s the heir of his fallen archenemy AND the product of the supposed “rape” of his beloved). Robert is talking all the time about his hatred. Shameful as it is for him, a lie seemed to be the only option, especially since Lyanna was begging him (“Promise me, Ned”).

The “seed is strong” is indeed a reference to Arryn’s discovery that with House Baratheon, “gold yields before coal”.

Just started watching this show up to episode 4 right now and I am really enjoying it.

I cray “UNCLE”!!!

SPOILER…

Especially since I just read that one man makes his way to Daenerys that will change things. So that is probably Jon Snow.

We need to have two different kinds of spoiler warnings for this thread. There needs to be a BOOK SPOILER and a SHOW SPOILER.

Pretty please, with sugar on top, don’t ruin it for the illiterate guys like me that are too lazy for thousands of pages of reading.

Agreed. I’m planning to read the novels, but only when the first season is over and I wouldn’t want to get it spoiled.

BOOK SPOILER

To me the strongest evidence for the R + L = J theory is the Tower of Joy. Why would the three deadliest members of the Kingsguard be thousands of miles from King’s Landing protecting the “kidnapped” Lyanna Stark? Simple, she was carrying Rhaegar’s heir.

END SPOILERS

On a side note, saw episode 7 - so awesome.

It’s turning onto a pretty porn series. me likey.

I’m diggin the show. Didn’t know it was a book series too. I shall be visiting Barnes and Noble when I get back on shore.

If you guys haven’t read the books, seriously pick them up. I never read books. I got the ebook of the first one when I was home for a weekend and really bored and ended up reading all 4 (like 3000+ pages) in a couple of weeks.

I tried reading some other books since but just couldn’t get into them, but man I’m actually really excited for the next book. It comes out July 16th I believe.
