no surprise when this story broke I actually had herniated two discs in my back from a fall at work, but no doctor would help me due to this ashole, they looked at me said well the firefighter guy blah blah because I’m bigger than the averafe soyboy. I was forced back to work while still walking with a cane and next to no feeling in my left leg due to an impingement on my spine. jerks lime these people mess it up for the real injured

Oh also the mayors are the only ones that have anti slip padding on the bottom, which seems perfect for climbing on shit.

I know someone who on 9/11 slipped getting off the Staten Island Ferry while looking at the burning towers on her way to work. She tore up her knee pretty good. Then she claimed to have done it getting out of the building she worked in. She had surgery, went out on permanent disability and moved to Florida.

Apparently it was a slam-dunk for her, being connected with the 911 event. So it isn’t just the cops and firefighters who were in on it.

I’m sure there are a ton of people outside of cops and firefighters, but cops and firefighters, by nature of their position, are held to a higher standard. It makes it that much worse.

I agree completely. Plenty of NYC firefighters and police that had seen way too much of 911 and the fallout from it. I know a few fireman and 1 police officer who retired within months after the incident. They had their years in, although being still well under age 50. One of my neighbors, a NYC fireman for 25 years, he went to 53 funerals after 911. One after another for weeks on end.

If you weren’t able to retire, going out on disability was another way out. Those who lived quietly and maintained a low profile got away with it.

Indeed. We know though that corruption and fraud can take place in any position of power or where a way to manipulate a system may exist :frowning:

Fraud is not quite as bad as reality TV, but close

Fraud is as real as it gets. Long live fraud…

Rob

Ya know in a sense, yes. I don’t know if anyone has seen Wolf of Wall Street, but I catch myself at times thinking of all the corruption and fraud etc that takes place in 2014 and I have to remind myself…NONE OF THIS IS NEW. We had all of these things we complain and bitch about happening long before any of us were even born. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be mad as hell about the 2014 problems we have, but at the same time our parents thought/wondered about things like corruption and fraud as well. As did their parents and the people before them.

Maybe not long live fraud, but long…well damn fraud has been here a while!
