Hi Christian
Would an 8x8 approach be suitable for a type 2b?
If so what split is the better approach?
Thankyou in advance
Aaron

It is suited for them from a feeling standpoint. But is it optimal (for anybody)? I don’t hate 8x8 once in a while. But it is not an approach I would use over the long term.
As for the split, why not just go with the original Gironda 8x8 method. 8x8 is not simply doing 8 sets of 8 reps on your exercises. There is a particular set-up to the workouts. In fact, a true 8x8 program is not really 8 sets of 8 reps, it’s more like one giant rest/pause set (Gironda’s advanced trainees used only 15 seconds between “sets” and the normal rest interval was 30 seconds).
