80's Toy Thread

Here’s two obscure ones… Wind Raiders and Army Ants.

Transformers PWN3D Gay-Bots! Robots in disguise vs a bunch of lame mopeds. Yeh right.

Now Ziods kicked as … and Robotics!

Anyone remember a diecast Gundam looking tranforming robot thing that could turn from a Jet into a robot and then into something resembling ED-209? That was cool.

Always wanted the Jack Hammer vehicle from Mask.

Damn, when I was a kid, all I had was a rock & a stick. Until the stick broke.

Nope, I still have the rock!

Voltron (the one with the lions) roooocked!!!

Transformers forever !

A lot of girls got hurt real bad trying to lay their evil hands upon my boys.

I mean men.

Any one remember Ring Raiders I don’t know if they were more early 90’s but they were definatly up there along with the Hulkamania action figure with real life slam action.

I had some Wind Raiders! And the VEHICLE Voltron as well. And that zoid picture looks like the one I had, Brutox.
Who remembers Marshal Bravestarr?

What about Starcom?

Now my personal favorite…was Robotech. Those toys are worth a bunch these days.

Legos. Legos were the SHIT!!!

Back off, bunny. Legos belong in the sixties with me! My feet still hurt thinking of them.
Damn, I forgot about how they felt when you stepped on them.

On a side note, does anyone remember the trouble with GI Joe’s and the elastic band that held their legs and groins together ?

Oh boy… you guys are gonna make me dig out the stash and the digi cam.

I’ll get some pics up soon.

Go for it. As far as those GI Joes snapping in half…my dad became an expert surgeon for rubberband spine trauma.

I agree the lion one was bad-ass. I had a couple different ones.

But man… the car one was the ultimate shit! And super hard to find! Anyone have pics / links of that?

The Rubik’s Cube, and it’s descendent, the Professor Cube.

And the rock fell into the sewer drain…

Luckily, the neighbors dog died and we made a ball out of his bladder.

I was always disappointed that Tron, one of the greatest movies ever made, didn’t have a better toy line.

5. GI Joe Aircraft carrier-I never had it. I’m still pissed to this day!!

I never had it either, but being so big into GI Joe, I always wanted it. I’m sure it’s a product youthful exaggeration, but I remember it being like six feet long.
That fuckin thing sure was six feet long! Only rich kids had it. I remember I did trade the hovercraft for a guinea pig though.

And PGA, I was always torn whether I like Storm Shadow or Snake Eyes better. It broke my little heart what happened to Snake Eyes.
