780 Reasons You Should Know Cocoa Espresso

That’s still a pretty solid at home session!

Nikki, you look fantastic. i’ll say that first!

Also you just always have such a smart outlook on things…very wise beyond your years.
your advice has really helped me the last few weeks!–> thank you

how did you like those? I’m a big fan of DB Burpees, as you know

Looking really good in that progress picture. you’re gonna be struttin your stuff on the beach this summer arent you?

damn those quads! every time i look in your log i realize i have absolutely no idea (when it comes to my training) of what volume really is. 5x5 is volume for me. 100 push-ups. jeepers.

Thanks for droppin by guys

Brutiful, glad to help =)
That means a lot, thank ya’s

Greg I’ve always liked 'em, just never did them in a gym using more weight
Maybe I will, or maybe I’ll just keep them in my evening complexes

And uh… I don’t like the beach =(
More specifically I don’t like sand.

LOL alexus

I didn’t get a chance to post my stuff yesterday.
I did sets of 50 half squats, squats not going all the way up. Owwie.
I did more wide-grip push-ups. I have to do them 3-point style, with only one foot on the groud, so I think that made the push-ups harder. Either that or I got really bad at them.

I also did inverted rows, superset with more push ups.
And rack chins, wide grip. Very awesome, my lats were hit very hard. Some HSPUs thrown in and that was it I believe.

BF and I saw Insidious. It…was… awesome!
Not to say that I didn’t scream in the theater or want to leave several times during the movie, but I can still appreciate a good movie through spread fingers over my eyes.

Pic was just snapped when playing around last night.

I’ll get a workout in when I’m done with tests.

^ that picture makes you look like you’re upside down.

I know that can’t be right, cause that’d just be silly.

right? silly~

Take the opportunity of toe damage forcing you to do three point pushups as a beginning to harder/cooler pushups. Three point is where it’s at.

HSPUS FTW!

<3 it Sugarbuns, just adorable in that pic!

How can you not like the beach!!! Only sand, it rinses off…

hehe great picture!

Ahhhh… so you do the HSPUs facing the wall. Got it!

Also have to agree with Veggie on this one - no beach?! Then how do you show off your beach body?! However, if this is a sensory issue with the sand, I’ll sympathize. I won’t touch chalk. Ever.

Nikki is probably a swimming pool kinda girl…
and everything goes in slow motion as she walks by

For some reason I thought HSPUs were hammer strength pullovers…anyhoo you iz lookin’ good and should come to like the beach. I love summer, it’s a time of the year when it’s somewhat acceptable to show off all the work you’ve been putting in at the gym. Kind of xmas is a time of the year where wearing godawful sweaters is kinda sorta ok.

Everything goes in slow motion except for any dude’s heart close enough to see her, you mean. grin

(that’s two times in five minutes you’ve made me laugh out loud MiM :D)

I can’t possibly be upside down Edge, that’s crazy talk. Crazy I tell ya!

Gah! I absolutely hate the beach. Not too fond of chalk either, in reference to L. I’m just a very meticulous type person, I like to feel clean at all times of the day. Simply put, I guess it is a sensory issue. On the other hand, I have no qualms being carried by a hottie and placed on a towel on the sand. Yes, that’ll do

Don’t cry for me though Argentina, I have plenty of times that I can show off my body. As vain as I am, I do it quite often and I live in the perfect state to show it off year round <3

Sorry that I confused you Aqua, HSPUs are indeed handstand push ups. My gym doesn’t have a pullover machine.

You ladies and gents made me blush enough times just now, thank you.

Nothing interesting in the training front. Doing some random stuff like half squats, push ups, HSPUs, but it’s hot as all get out, so I’m doing quick bursts of everything, then getting back to clean. I’m constantly in the shower or with a washcloth in my hand trying to stay cool.

But I finally jumped on the wagon with the wall squats. Well, doing the video part anyway.
Just note, when I decide to do something, it’s a spontaneous thought so I didn’t dress for the occassion or anything. So I am a mess, and I’m also bloated. SO NO FATTY COMMENTS ;D

Love you all, now Fatty’s going to get some pizza.

LOL!!

going to get pizza…while I’m eating my squirmy noodles my kids think are part of Squidward…

From this angle, it looks like you are squatting onto the floor…one good thing about being a shorty? you can get low low low low low low low…

(apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur…)

haha

Kristoph, teehee, when was the first time??

looks like you were born to squat. lucky! (that really isn’t to take anything away from how hard i know you work). uh oh, if you think that is bloated i gotta pay more attention to when i choose to post vids :-/

I am obviously missing a squating gene.

you have those and the superfly gene in spades.

I’d be jealous but my mind’s just roaming with potenital use for all the flexibility

get better soon. I wanna read about you squashing little gym egos.

Lol alex, I didn’t take it that way at all.
I’ve noticed no pudginess from you. I on the other hand, have PMS and high-carb days against me.

N I’m really trying ;(
This morning I slipped on some sneakers to walk in while brushing my teeth, and the 8 steps nearly left me in tears. I’ll just have to get over it maybe, of course I miss training. It will be my ego squashed though when I see how weak I am </3

Still doing random things throughout the day. Did 50 squats without lockout with 15# DB, followed by 50 hamstring curls and some HSPUs. And rear delt flys. All the push ups I’ve been doing have been murder on my anterior delts, so not doing them much right now.

Interesting study I read. It turns out that cocoa contains flavonoids that boost blood flow to the muscles and reduces the demands on the heart during exercise. The extra blood flow translates to more intense lifting. ALSO, cocoa can reduce cortisol, which we know hinders testerone’s muscle-building effects. The lower cortisol levels= a boost in hypertrophy.

I’m sure my Wendy’s chocolate frosty looks a lot tastier ;D
Cereally, it might be better to get the actual raw/natural powder, but I still love my Frosty, and whatever type of processed cocoa is in it still does the trick for me.
