780 Reasons You Should Know Cocoa Espresso

Ahhh… wasn’t around much this weekend, so now I see where your empathy for the forced breaks comes from! So sorry to hear about your toe - ouch! Although, look at you, already up and at 'em! (And btw, don’t give that gym guy a second thought.)

Hang in there Nikki, once your toe heals up shove it down that jagoffs mouth.

hang in there Nikki, I know how you feel. Whenever I have bad workouts or get a little injury all I want to do is eat hot wings and drink beers lol… You have to fight the urge!

Glad to hear that your toe wasnt bothering you too much today. You’re too tough for that anyway

Sorry to hear about your toe, Nikki. But, you’re tough. That’s a good circuit you did considering your injury - way to persevere. You know what they say- You can’t keep a good woman down. : )

I think I found a vid of the douchebag who got butthurt by you.

Sorry to hear bout the toe, heres to hoping it heals up quickly.

Lol thanks again peeps

Took a pic for gross amusement. With school and work and training, lack of pedicure doesn’t help blush

AHHHHH ZOMBIE TOEEEE!

Yeah I know ;(

My mom says that I should be an extra in those CSI shows since my foot does look dead.

I just call my toe Rihanna… that was a cheap shot lol

You sure have cute feet, Cupcake.

besides the rasberry, that is…

dammit did that not load?

Oh, baby. So sorry about your toe! Sure it’ll be better in no time.

Does look dead, LOL about your mom’s suggestion. Foot extra? I’ve heard of foot models, but…

We are soulmates. Had a near-miss with a foot injury myself this weekend, it was my own doing and I got lucky that it isn’t stopping me from doing anything. Bounced a 75 off the top of my foot. Sore to touch but that’s all.

ow. damn, you really really did hurt your toe! i’ve never dropped a plate on my foot. which is really very surprising… now i see why the gym guy gets his panties in a twist when people deadlift shoeless.

I sure hope you didn’t jinx yourself, Al.

Really Edge? blush

DF, it did show… twice =D

Veg, how on earth are you okay after 75# bouncing on your foot? Glad to hear that you’re okay.

Lol alexus, I figured a pic will explain why I’m out of the gym for a toe.
I hope you didn’t jinx yourself either =)

I think I dropped a plate on my foot before, but the plate fell from chest level… well my chest level. Probably around navel height for the average-sized person.
Still a long distance to fall.

Anyway let’s see. I went to class today, everything was a near-miss for my toe. Huge people rushing around that could’ve stepped on me. Wet Floor signs. Sadly I’m my own worst enemy, I tripped 4 times total, very painful.
I’m hoping that the gym tomorrow won’t be as hazardous.

Workout this morning:
Circuit:
10 door pull-ups (took about 3 sets to do)
1 leg elevated wide push-ups
20 lunges

Did the circuit 3 times

Then some supersets

1 leg step-up thingies, 10 reps each side
Superset
12 chest flies with 20#
3 sets

20 Resistance Band Hamstring curls
Superset
20 lat pulldowns with resistance bands
3 sets

15 Modified HSPUs
Superset
1 arm tricep chair dips, 15 each arm
3 sets

Band abductions
15 reps with Average band, 3 sets

Way to solider on! Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Hey some great training in here as always Nikki. How’s the dieting going? I’m personally loving having some less fat on my body.

Was reading an article today on ifbb figure pro Teresa Anthony and she reminded me of you and I haven’t checked in in awhile. Hope all is going well.

yeah, famous last words. think i’ve hurt my back instead. i was going to say nikki’s toe looks much more painful than my back - but i won’t. just in case :-/ i really should just shut my yap, sometimes…

door pull-ups sound cool… good for the fingers, too, i bet.

^^^ Oh, NO alexus. Hope you’re ok.

Nikki that is some quality training you did at home. Can we get an update pic of your toe while it is on the mend.

I seriously don’t know how/why I am so lucky as to have NOT injured my foot with that big 'ol DB. Maybe it’s due to all of the gym karma that I’ve banked by cleaning up plates and being nice to idiots and not dropping DBs on people who walk in front of me when I’m doing weighted carries (even though they derseve it!)

Hope your foot is back in action sweetheart!

Thanks Nadia.

Hey Austin, diet’s going awesome. I tried to take a progress pic this morning but it’s pretty dark due to tornado stormy weather and whatnot.
But yes, I’m enjoying the lower bodyfat as well

Haha Alexus, I won’t say anything so as to not assist in the jinx.
Yeah, door pull-ups are tough on the hands.

Veg, maybe it was the shoes you wore? I know you wore Converse on your leg day, so hopefully the DB accident wasn’t on a day you wore those. I wish I would have worn my Jordans, those babies can cause any weight to bounce back. But I was doing legs that day, and I can’t squat with such a high shoe. Fate was out to get my toe ha!
Pic of toe in next post…

I did legs yesterday… at home.
Going from memory:

100 BW squats
100 SLDLs (50 with a stick, last 50 with 15 lb DBs)
50 narrow stance ball squats
50 lying hamstring curls with heavy band tubing

Circuit of:
10 pull-ups (took only 2 “sets”, vs the 3 sets it took the day before)
10 wide push-ups, 1 foot elevated
10 bulg split squats each side (that was tricky to do with the toe, but when there’s a will…)

Did that 3 times
Then 50 standing ab crunches with heavy band tubing

Pretty good workout, pic above shows the results of the pumpz =)

Pic of healing toe.
Looks a lot better, less swelling (I can actually move my toe!), still bleeding a lil though

Anyway, I’m going to use the plethora amount of carbs that I had for breakfast as fuel a workout now.
