8/2, repeat of yesterday

How do you do your pushups?
Hands open? On a fist ?
Like most everyone I did hands open. I’m having trouble with a wrist now and can’t really get my hand flat. Fingertip is way too hard past 10.
I’ve started with making a fist, seems ok .
Just looking for some thoughts.

His thing used to be handstand push-ups. He even got me doing them for a while.

Crippler likely already has ample shoulders, but he has to agree handstand pushups work well.

Yep, handstands are the real deal.

machine rows 3 x 8 @ 90, 180, 180
machine pulldowns ? for shoulders 3 x 8 @ 90, 140, 140
machine press 3 x 8 @ something around 115

Hey Biker, I hope you and yours are well… looks like you picked up where you left off…

We’re all fine. I just got over a bout with lazyness.

Glad you’re back and posting.

Work piled up. Some guy ingeniously appropriated almost 3/4 million from father who later died, so we had to jump on that while some of it remains unspent. Did I ever write I love my work?

Usual pushups only.

machine benches 3 x 8, up to about 200
machine incline bench 3 x 8, up to 140
machine press 3 x8, up to 110
machine pullovers 3 x 8, up to 180
machine rows 3 x 8, up to 230
hack squats 3 x 8, up to about 200 (somebody was hogging the free weights machine so I used the machine weight one)

This is abbreviated, but I’m trying to work up to full body 3 times weekly. May reconsider yoga after clee78’s experience. Would really like to shed 20 lbs, and I don’t think I can do Crippler’s Israeli army training.

Ha. It’s crazy but it works. I’m taking six weeks off, and I have to admit I missed it tonight.

Sean Vigue Fitness. Yoga for men.
I started on YouTube, then bought some off his books.
Inexpensive, well worth it. The 30 day body weight , 45 day workout are my two favorite books.
Modify as needed. I definitely do.

This was a little easier today. Still easing back into workouts. Not certain yet how heavy to go if I’m trying to work body parts 3 times per week.

I think I’m slipping into “keep the blood flowing” workouts instead of pursuing strength. Although, 3 full body workouts/week is a lot if weights are heavier. Experimenting here.
