cable extensions 3 x 10 @ 110, 120, 120
reverse grip short size barbell curls 4 x 10 @ 60, 80, 100, 110

rough week so far, been skipping squats lately

11/8 new gym

garage chin-ups 8,5,5
glute ham raises 30
rack pulls 1 x 10 @ 135, 1 x 8 @ 225, 1 x 6 @ 315, 1 x 3 @ 345
barbell rows 3 x 10 @ 225, 275, 275
hammer curls 3 x 10 @ 45, 50, 70

The young guys at the gym must shit themselves when you start busting out rows with more than they bench. Nice work.

Thanks Steve. Nothing like your rock work though.

11/10 old gym

dumbbell bench 3 x 10 w/ 35s, 50s, 75s, 8 w/ 90s
machine pullovers 3 x 10 up to 200
machine flyes 3 x 10 up to 180 (this machine’s weight stack is readable)
shoulder machine 3 x 10 up to 200
tricep pushdown 3 x 10 @ 60
cable extensions 3 x 10 @ 100, 110, 120

11/12 new gym

glute ham machine 3 x 10 (thing adjusts now)
rack pulls 3 x 6 @ 135, 225, 315
barbell rows 3 x 10 @ 135, 275, 275
hammer curls 3 x 10 @ 45, 50, 70

Feeling lstronger these days.

Which is better? Old gym or the new one?

I am leaning toward new one. For the weight you lift, new one. For machine and cable work, old one.

1/13 old gym

cable flyes 3 x 10 with some relatively heavy weight, surely not the 320 on the machine indicator
machine presses 3 x 10 @ 90, 160, 180
tricep pushdowns 3 x 10 @ 90
tricep cable extensions 3 x 10 @ 100

Payback for skipping lunch yesterday.

11/15 new gym

garage pullups 8,6,5
glute ham raises 3 x 10
rack pulls 3 x 8 @ 135, 225, 315
barbell rows 3 x 10 @ 225, 275, 275
dumbbell curls 3 x 10 w/30s, 40s, 50s

After removing 2 45s I remembered planning on 345 rack pulls for reps. Not as awake as I thought. Saw sun come up in that gym for first time. That place makes me feel stronger. The smell of 20,000+ lbs of free weights.

11/30 no gym, but finished helping move law partner into his new house. 400± pound rug pulled a back muscle (2 of us on it).

And he had hired professional movers! Missed my calling.

Although moving sucks, it does work you out. I would last about one day before I walked off the job though.

12/3 no gym, back pain still

At lease the pain seems to be from a pulled muscle and not a disc problem.

I know the difference a little too well.

12/4 gym is becoming a memory
I didn’t help law partner finish his move Saturday. He was cleaning out attic in their rental, and he fell through the ceiling 12 feet to the concrete floor in the kitchen. Quite a collection of black and blue marks but nothing broken. They’re now totally in the new house.

He fell 12 feet? He’s very lucky nothing is broke.

Exactly.

12/13 no gym for about 3 weeks

50 pushups.

Eagle78’s posts motivate me. They’re similar to me at 60.

Yeah, but can he do handstand pushups?

Probably, judging from that dumbbell collection in his photo.
