if you’re not careful you’ll be down in my weight class !!
Your trap will probably work itself out.

Nice DLs and really good Bent over barbell rows
Yep. Coan does not mess around.

squats 1 x 8 @ 135, 1 x 6 @ 225, 1 x 3 @ 315 (didn’t break parallel), 1 x 5 @ 295, 2 x 10 @ 245, 225

seated machine flyes 3 x 10 @ 130
I want to get squats up a bit. Maybe 2 x 20 @ 240 or so. I really haven’t tried much volume in past, but it seems profitable for deadlifting.
You can’t beat early morning squats. Or so I have been told.

Trying for more volume w/ less weight.
I’m getting called “sir” in gym again. Jeez.
If someone in the younger generation is showing respect by calling you sir : I would bask in that sunlight all day ! Nice work
Don’t worry, I get called sir down here even when being insulted. Good lifting.
Not enough people say sir these days. That’s the way I was raised, and my kids do the same. It’s respect.
3/15 Anyone can tell I’ve been out of gym going on 2 weeks. Just plain lazy. Kind of feeling like 70 (birthday in 2 months). I’ve been doing 1 x50 pushups in office daily, and I ordered a chinning bar for my garage, which I expect to install someday. Gym, next week for sure. Still trying to straighten out my farmer’s walk bars’ order from New Zealand; order got lost, but not my payment. Finally found their invoice number. I ordered a Viking squat vest from them early last year and it came quick. They’re pretty good guys.
I’m sure you will get back into it. I’m also certain you are more fit and stronger than about 90% of the guys in your age group.
I need to send bribe money for that comment.
One of the gym’s I attend has a pretty mature clientele so I feel confident in saying I haven’t seen many if any 70 year olds, in 2 months doing farmer’s walk and squats with 315. I will say I see a lot of us more mature folks in shape for running and jumping in the Masters T&F meets I enter.
Returning after 7 years, I’m 62 now. How screwed am I?
