I’m glad you are back in the game, in terms of handstand pushups.

Me too.

11/9 missed gym

But, 7 handstand pushups. No kidding. Surprised myself.

11/10 still missed gym today

5 decent handstand pushups today. Counted best of 3 sets.

You did seven? You got me beat.

Crippler, not in anything else in the gym. My form’s not so good.

11/12

One set of 10 handstand pushups. Better form now, but still not as close to door as I like.

Noticed slight soreness in elbow joints yesterday, probably from doing these.

still banging away on handstands…much respect , sir

10 handstand pushups is really impressive.

Now you’ve got me wanting to try handstand push-ups. Probably break my neck.

NHLFTR, you’re easily strong enough. I found by losing 15 lbs they got a lot easier to do.

Give it a try NHLFTR. I was skeptical too, but they are pretty good. It takes a while to get it down.

Gym acquaintance told me about his heart attack at 45. He’s 46 and he had one last summer during our 1000 year flood after he’d worked all week helping neighbors. He woke up about l am with numb bicep, then numb forearm, then same for other arm, then jaw hurt like hell. Hospital for 2 days. Dr. told him finally he had no blockages, they couldn’t find anything so they determined he did have a blockage and that the week’s overwhelming work caused a tear in an artery and the blockage exited through it. !! Guy’s thin as a board, in great shape, and presently takes no pills at all.

Just what we discussed last week. I would bet its something in your gym daddy’s genes. I have it on both sides of my family, so I feel like a walking time bomb at times. My father, however, is a physical mess and somehow he keeps tucking along.

You might want to befriend a cardiologist. Now.

I had a client whose 9 first cousins each died of heart ailments. I didn’t know how his aunts and uncles died. My client started seeing a cadio guy before anything occurred. He also managed to have 7 heart attacks over about 30 years, and he died in his late 80s. He lived about 10 minutes from an emergency room and he’d get some sort of shot within about 30 minutes of an attack. So, despite bad family history, he lived a normal life with occasional shocks.

Another client, in my class in high school, died in his 50s with his first heart attack before he was 35. He was a bookie and he didn’t take care of himself at all.

Thanks for the advise. I go the doctor yearly. This year she said I was in great shape. My blood pressure is normally on the low side. As we all know the Lord will take you on His schedule.

On side note, he was a legit bookie?

Crippler, why do you think he was my client? No legit ones in Louisiana.
