Divorce is now final so I’m now moving in to significantly larger apartment. Ready for whatever’s next.

How are you feeling about things? Hopeful? Resigned? I’m also curious about the prospects, in case I ever need to date again, lol.

Emily Q, prospects seem to be ok. I’m learning the ropes. I’ve discovered an upscale neighborhood bar frequented by single women and me which turn out well. I’m getting involved in my church, probably better choice than a bar. Also some friends’ wives have suggested their single friends. I find I am fighting the idea of being single rest of my life, so I don’t let myself stay home much.

Stamina is a problem though. Probably about 4 more years for serious looking. Will shut it down at 80. Thinking about getting back into woodworking hobby, but that’s a singular activity. Hopeful.

Wow, you do have a lot going. I totally get not wanting to be single forever - I’m the same way. I like coming home to somebody or anticipating their arrival if I’m the one home.

I can also appreciate the growing trend of keeping separate homes, but seeing each other several times a week.

Agreed. It’s the same for kids with parents who choose noy to be around. Death is easier.

Having taught high school for a bit now, I have to agree. I see what happens when parents split. I know if my wife and I went our separate ways our kids would disown us. I cannot have that. A co-worker had an affair for a year, I about fell over when he told me it saved his marriage.

I’ll do it it you will. Of course, you’ll need to use a 45 lb plate when I’m using a 25.
