Your benching is going real good. Looked up wife pulldowns. Guess you meant wide.
Oops. More tired that I thought to miss that misspelling.

Today’s “workout” was only lying hamstring curls and a LOT of hyperextensions. Got hamstring acting up from all the stuff I’ve been doing outside gym. I had expected to break my 320 deadlift today. Hopefully will get better by Monday.

Don’t anybody even think I need a cane and a back brace.
Went to a trt clinic earlier this week. They said T was normal for my age, and I only have one symptom which was why I went. Otherwise I was happy to be in normal/low normal range. Now have to balance their treatment recommendations with my urologist’s advice, and my anticipated lifespan.
What are you anticipating for a life span? I hope to hear something optimistic.
I’ll think about that for awhile. That’s sort of putting an “end date” on a life.

I’m 66 now and feel like I’m headed for the next stage in getting older too.
Yes. I eat breakfast after workouts. Otherwise workouts are somewhat sluggish and yesterday I think I had a stomach ache for first part of workout. Felt better after a toilet break.

Still deloading.
This is the age where I look back instead of forward and realize I’ve never been able to build my body. Training and lifting for years and years and never got any real strength or size or anything. Just no real response. How can you believe anything lies ahead?
I look back and realize just how strong I got.
That sobers me now.
But. My body still responds to training, and I’ve got the Pacific Crest Trail to finish and more to do. I know it is a long decline but it can also be one that has hope.
Remember Old Navy?
Everyone remembers their PRs for squats/deads/benches. Present strength is sobering, but I enjoy lifting. I envy the 30 something 3 plate bencher/working on 4 who I spot on Saturdays, and a 40 something friend to whom I just gave my spiderweb covered 100 lb dumbbells because his garage gym’s “90s are light”. Jeez. I enjoy seeing younger guys experiencing the strength and discipline benefits from lifting. Helps keep me young? My 50+ years’ lifting experience maintains my mobility and good energy at 74.5. My knowledge is intact and my human nature experience keeps growing. I easily hold my own in verbal confrontations with my law partner who knows everything at 51. Actually, he does.
Old Navy. I was in the Vietnam era !@#$%^ U. S. Navy because my draft number was 31. A real, nightmarish struggle but I learned persistence and determination at 25. For some reason I hung a Navy flag in my garage gym anyway. Guess there’s some pride because I use all the veteran’s benefits and I always thank guys for their service.
