First off I give you props for doing it. Not bad for your first comp. I was actually at that competition in mystic and saw you. Some of the classes can be a little tough to be in, being that some of those guys have been competing for years. I plan on doing Mr. MN next year and will probably be a heavyweight. I’ll be a little nervous for my first comp but I’m going to hire Shelby Starnes to be my coach. Not sure if you had a nutrionist but I think you would have done a lot better if you were more conditioned. Again I agree with the other comments about being wider on top but us tall guys have it rough. What gym are you lifting at?
Yeah I had a contest prep coach. In addition, the guy who won the Light Heavyweight class is the owner of the gym that I work/train at, Southside Athletic in Burnsville. I had some very good support going into this and that’s why I was so adherent to my training. At Southside we predominantly train heavy and hard.

We usually have 4 or 5 guys all lifting together and you can hear some of them in those videos I posted. I know a lot of people like to lift alone, but I really started to progress when I had others in the gym motivating/challenging me.

I think there are a lot of things you need to work on. Mainly, just filling out your frame. I have the same problem with wide hips and narrow clavicles. Just smash your delts. Delts, chest, and posing all need a fair amount of work.
Yeah, looking at the pics I was pretty pissed with myself for hardly flexing my already small calves. Posing was something I practiced all the time and was getting very good at, but I didn’t stay as consistent when I hit the stage. That will not be a mistake I repeat the next time…

Also work on your lower abs a little more. You seem to have a tough spot near your lower belly/botton. Looks good for a first comp though-I give you props, and your lifts are impressive imo. Im looking forward to my first comp as well in the near future and hope to have the confidence you show.
My lower abs/sides were my biggest concern going into the contest because they were still covered with some fat/water. I have no idea what they’ll look like when I nail my conditioning next time.

My confidence was originally not too genuine, but I kind of forced myself to believe in myself until it became ingrained in my psyche. Now it is genuine.

I don’t know a ton about body building, but if he added more to his legs wouldn’t that contribute to helping balance him out?
Yes - thicker quads with more sweep would help with the coveted X-frame look.
That’s a very good point, and there’s a reason leg day is always Monday for me and my workout partners!

judging your physique, you need more mass. Delts, Back thickness and width, upper chest, quads and hamstrings. good work on the weight loss however this isnt rate my transformation.

Yeah I know it’s not rate my transformation or anything, I just like getting a baseline when I look at people so I thought I’d do the same.
