Hello.
I usually train every other day with 4 training days.
In each I do 6 exercises, 2-3 compound movements, but I would like to shorten the training time and reduce the fatigue that irritates me, especially after heavy single leg movements.
I would like to have 4 exercises per session, which makes 6 days of training and this is where my question comes in.
For example: I only do 2 exercises that heavily engage the chest - dips and incline press, and so far I’m happy with the results. However, in said routine, I would do dips and 6 days later the incline press - they both stimulate the whole chest, but not every part to the same degree.
So I would have to wait 12 days until the next session with the same exercise.
Will one exercise stimulate the chest enough to not lead to detraining, and the less stimulated parts of the chest get a shock on the second exercise due to the long time interval? So in the long run the whole chest will grow?
