You’re arguing with someone who has much more muscle and strength than you do NOW but I agree that when he gets to your age, it will be interesting to see what he will look like.
Max, you’re a machine. What are your goals? I don;t see you getting to a 600 dead anytime soon at your current weight (based on your vids) so perhaps focussing on hypertrophy for a while will do you good. Since you have been training low volume for a long time, you will likely blow up with a good hypertrophy prog. I believe even strongmen like Marunde focussed on that from time to time, or is there a particular weight class you want to stay in?

My powerlifting goal is to total 1200 in the 181 weight class. Until you compete in powerlifting, strongman, olympic lifting, bodybuilding, etc. your “goals” really don’t mean shit.

BTW, I would stop lifting if I had your body at age 40.

I think that if you have my body at my age, you would work harder. I am pretty sure of that. and i am very happy with people thinking I am younger than I really are.

you have 54 post in your profile…and most are done on this thread.

Are you aiming to compete on any of that? or you are working out just for fun? how much are you lifting on your avatar? (repsxweight)

I just want a decent burial for this thread. thanks for helping.

I want to be in the 181 pound weight class for my next APF meet in September, like my last PL meet in May, and hopefully stay in the 181s, next year, when I intend to compete in the 100% Raw fed.

My goals are a 425 squat, 250 bench press, and 525 deadlift as a raw 181 pound competitor. That would give me exactly a 1200 total.

In my last Sheiko skills assessment, one week ago, I did 405, 230, and 495, which was an 1130 total.

So, in powerlifting the total weight is measured adding all the lifts? but tell me, how much are you lifting in your avatar? I am just curious. i have no clue, at my gym, there are hardly anyone to be considered bb, there is a guy who lift a lot, 6’2", >230pounds, he deadlift 315, and clean and press 225-295.

i think he is confused beacuse he want to get ripped but i insist that he is a powerlifter and cutting will bring down his strength. My point is: he is not made to be a shown, he is made to lift big weights. i am not sure this is acurate, but on contest, for bb, what is evaluated is the shape and definition of body, how much you lift is not taken into consideration, this is not the case for powerlifting, since you are evaluated for the lifts itself no taking the way you look into consideration. Correct me if I am wrong.

Did you ever think about being a bb instead a powerlifter?

[quote]bmbr31927 wrote:

He is not a bb, he is a powerlifter, they don’t care about bf so much.

[quote]bmbr31927 wrote:

It’s 16%, not 20.

BTW, your spelling is atrocious.

I’m not confused. I was being mostly facetious when I created this thread. If you couldn’t figure that out, I pity you.

My goal is strength for powerlifting, not definition for bodybuilding.

The squat in my avatar is 405.

Didn’t you say earlier, multiple times, that I am “weak and scrawny” ?

[quote]maxbm wrote:

Didn’t you just post your most recent max bench press of 230 lbs?

If, at a -twig like- 6’1 190, I am ‘weak and scrawny’… with a 225x4 bench press… what are you, at 40 y/o, 5’6 180… 230x1 lb bench…?

I fail to see your rationale.

Mak, no misquotes on that last sentence. lol.

I was talking about a friend of mine, not you.

how did you evolve to that range? (how much at start, how long it took?).

this thread delivers

Yes, you are weak and scrawny because you probably can’t squat or pull to save your life. The bench press is only one third of the powerlifting total. It’s squat, bench press, and deadlift. Most of the PL total poundage comes from the squat and deadlift, not the bench press, which is supposed to be less than either of those other two lifts.

BTW, that 230 was with a pause, like at a meet; I can do 240 with the touch-and-go method, probably more now.

Also, you’re a shitty judge of age. I’m 25 years old, nowhere near 40.

Then why make this thread?

To expose the 9-11 conspiracy…

i think he is not sure if he want to be mulder or scully and want us to help him choice. I think blazers suit you. and yes, this advice is kind of queer eye for the straight girl, so take it.
