The constitution is dead. The US government now legally owns your health and by default, your life.
Government can now make you purchase something, and “tax” you if you don’t.
Keep something in mind, when the GOP takes Congress and the WH (which they will at some point), do you want them to have this same power ?
Jesus H.
Well, the good news is it keeps the tax code nice and complicated. Job security baby.
We seriously just need to go ahead and repeal the constitution. The charade that we live in a limited government is getting old.
This will fire up the GOP base, quite honestly, if used properly, it will be Obama’s demise.

Hope they force me to buy weapons.
God damn it.
SCOTUS? More like SCROTUM
Sad day as I see it. So much for the US being a “limited constitutional republic.” Only way they could do this is to now accept that it is a “tax?”
$16 trillion and counting will sound low and long ago before this debacle is ended.
Here is what you younger posters do not understand. I and many that I know have been slowly “going Galt” in anticipation of this nonsense. I have been gradually moving my business interest and changing my model. I will no longer employ anyone else, as I refuse to let the government dictate such areas of my business.
Do you get that? I, an experienced, educated and successful business person am absolutely done with this nonsense. I will work for myself, by myself and only for me and my family’s benefit.
The only bright spot is that I began shorting the market in anticipation of this yesterday afternoon. Up over a grand so far. Shame that the only way to make money in this administration is to be a parasite or a mooch.
So how many of you will stand on your principles and refuse to buy into the program?
It was 5-4, you cannot count.
How the DNC is celebrating…
…the SCOTUS ruling, in three words, from DNC executive director @patrickgaspard:
‘it’s constitutional. Bitches.’
Pat,
Thanks, it was originally reported as 6-3

The last time they celebrated, they lost The House.

I already have coverage, I might have to drop it out of principal. But it could also make financial sense for me.
This is encouraging me to stop volunteering as a first responder though.
Well, the markets tanked with this ruling, which is a pretty good indicator of what it will do to our economy:
You can actually see the drop the second the ruling was read.

I’d love to see liberal’s faces if republicans get a majority in the house and senate and Romney wins and they pass the “Home Safety Law” and require all non-felons to buy a firearm or pay a special tax to go towards extra police protection…

It is really sad that I laughed at a bunch of this post.
Not in a “haha, you are a clown” type of way either. It is a sad sad day in America today.

Smart. Time of ruling circled in red.
On the bright side, we are almost certainly to be officially in a Depression with this fall, so presumably no one would be dumb enough to let Obama continue to destroy the economy.

Yes I guess you would see that as a bright side.
