4B Movement Coming to America

This is the fault of the government.
You do not have the power to wage war.
I do not have the power to wage war.

It is only ever governments that have the power to wage war.

It isn’t most men are babies, its a select few that happen to be in power.

Yup. Usually it’s a matter of two sides with serious disagreements, grievances, and aims. In many cases there is one side trying to arbitrate (“the adults in the room”) and the other side acting utterly unreasonable.

Speaking and typing are actions
You should re-think that

Yes. Well said.

Yeah
There’s so many subcultures
America doesn’t have a mainstream anymore imo

Environment used to take care of so much of mating and parenting, now it’s much more on each person/couple

A parents authority over children would tend to diminish a tiny bit daily unless it were exercised well to cultivate a high(er) level of respect. A high(er) level of respect that used to be the default social norm

  • Ted Lasso–Rebecca
  • It was a while ago but I actually grew up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Basically any superhero show or movie with female lead like Jessica Jones, Ms. Marvel, Wonder Woman, Supergirl
  • Just looking at movies in 2024 first few that come to mind are Fall Guy (Emily Blunt plays the director) and Ariana Grande in Wicked

I could come up with alot more if you gave me enough time. I’m not sure what point you’re making with this though. I feel like straight, attractive women still very much sells in entertainment.

Bro, what?
Are you saying that someone’s words mean just as much as their actions?

Sure it does, and it always will.

Are you telling me that you haven’t noticed a trend with female lead roles becoming significantly more masculine?

Or just less feminine.

Like an egg wearing a wig. Just blah.

That’s a different question though. Alot of the ones I mentioned like Wonder Woman and Buffy have very traditionally masculine traits, since they’re warriors that are continually saving humanity.

To answer this question though, not really. The whole Tom Boy or girl that can kick the shit out guys has been a trope for decades. Guys use to dig it… especially when there’s some cathartic pay off of her beating the shit out of some douchebag guy, because it’s fantasy wish fulfillment. For some reason in the past 5 years, it’s become saturated in identity politics and guys are bothered by it now or something? I honestly can’t keep up on the cultural politics side. I am more so here cuz I’m a bit of a cinephile and that comment stood out. These tropes come and go since the beginning of cinema. I vividly remember everyone loving Hit Girl in Kickass, but I swear if that movie came out today guys would be triggered by a little girl murdering grown ass men because it’s “woke” or something. And don’t forget her purple wig… clearly a feminist!

No, I was not saying that someone’s words mean just as much as their actions. I was saying that speaking and typing are actions. Interpreting the meaning(s) behind (seemingly) contradictory actions could get complicated

Do you put very little stock in a king’s words who gives orders that will be carried out, while putting far more value on his actions, like using his hands to bring food to his mouth or wiping his ass?

There is something resembling a king or queen within most every adult.
You have the power right now to demote everybody you will ever meet within your own mind, or you could do the opposite if one were so inclined. I recommend neither.

Thinking is also an action.

(writing that felt a little suspect, so I wanted to check…)

So yeah I recommend re-thinking what you said, later. It would be a huge ask to say re-think it NOW

thinking

1 of 2

noun

think·ing ˈthiŋ-kiŋ

Synonyms of thinking

1

: the action of using one’s mind to produce thoughts

(no idea why it says noun though… I think there should be a noun, verb, adjective. Maybe someone will tell me why I’m wrong)

What are you even on about? For fucks sake dude.

I’m not talking about a king.
I’m talking about the words of some entitled crybaby fat chicks that are swearing off men.

Goddamn.

A question i was pointing to the first time i asked it, and you still ignored the second time, for some reason :slightly_smiling_face:

Fathers and their male family members are now looked at as archaic for wishing to protect their young daughters from actual physical and emotional abuse, boys that will run for the hills if there is pregnancy (some actually wish death on the woman and child), diseases, and stupid and dangerous situations (I actually don’t know any especially attractive women from my younger years who have not been in them, thanks to the male airheads who were supposed to steer them away from such situations).

If a man deals with a scumbag he will be the one in trouble.

I think it all comes from labeling all masculine virtues as toxic. Was it in the 70s when the idea of telling men to get in touch with their feminine side became a thing?

Think of a child falling down; the mother gasps and rushes over to make sure he’s ok while the father tells him he’s ok and to get up. Both have their place and children probably do better when they have both. It’s like the whole everyone gets a trophy thing. Mothers don’t want to see their kids lose whereas fathers, who of course would like to see their kids win, put more emphasis on trying to win. We are ok with our kids losing as long as they didn’t give up. Of course there are exceptions to this.

What do you mean? I directly answered it in my second paragraph that starts with “To answer this question though…”

Did you read my whole post? Or do you mean I didn’t answer any questions in your OP?

Can you elaborate?

Maybe there are again some regional differences, but where I am fathers are still generally expected to be protective of their daughters.

The method of “dealing” with a scumbag could be called in to contention, but running one off wouldn’t cause a stir.

Where do you see a regression, and in what way?

Same, @BrickHead. I really think some of these things are being exaggerated through the internet. A guy in my neck of the woods shot his daughter’s ex-boyfriend multiple times last year and was acquitted of all charges. It is still very possible to protect your daughters with little to no fear of societal or legal repercussions.

@jshaving @Njord thanks for the replies. I’m going to a meeting soon and will be busy. I’ll try to get back tonight to elaborate.

Technically you’ve already asked, but I’ll go ahead and ask - are you really sure you want to ask?

It is true that you were not talking about a king, but that may have just been for convenience sake

Ok, cool, your choice
It struck me as odd to start a conversation with the words

That’s fine though
The alleged “proclamations” are real fwiw
Whether they live up to them or are of any value, time and perspective will tell

It has been suggested and poo-poohed multiple times in various threads that a father should take an interest in protecting his daughter from men that only want them for sex.

I do believe you’ve explicitly said you think its weird that a father wouldnt want daughter to get fucked by a bunch of dudes.

You said you’d support your daughter becoming a prostitute “as long as shes safe and happy”.

So maybe we’re different here, but id personally call that a regression.
