49 Y/O First Cycle Test Results- High EOSINOPHILS

I’m 49 years old and I’ve been on trt for 7 years. Been doing CrossFit for ten years. I have never been interested in doing a cycle but I finally realized that there wasn’t a downside that I could think of.

So now I’m on my sixth week of 500mg of testosterone enanthate.

I’ve put on 15 lbs and my strength is 15-20% greater so I’m ahead of my goals. However I had hoped I would be more motivated in the gym and have more libido.

But I don’t have excess acne or sensitive nipples like I expected so I haven’t taken an AI.( I have Arimidex)

I decided to get a blood test because I just feel like an old man, like the strongest 70 year old. It’s not extreme, just thought the testosterone would give me a boost.

Anyway the results are of course high testosterone and estrogen. But something surprised me. I have a high EOSINOPHILS which I have come to learn means I might be sick or having a reaction to something.

Also high AST which indicates liver damage. I’ve never had these problems.

Could this be from the testosterone levels? Or the oil it is in? The high estrogen?

Also what you you think about me taking Arimidex? My symptoms are bearable but I just want to be horny and enthusiastic in the gym.

Back when I started TRT, I did get a lot of ear infections as my body adapted to therapy and was transient. High eosinophils is definitely related to immune response.

As for the higher liver markers, this could indicate your training load is too high. This happens to a lot of guys while on cycles and doctors freak out and blame the steroids, when the excessive training is to blame.

Thanks Systemlord. I actually missed the high AST. So thanks for pointing that out.

Spot on and mild elevation is often times due to allergies as well. I’m allergic to dogs and yet somehow my wife talked me into getting a small dog. All of my labs since show mild elevation of the Eosinophils.

AST/ALT elevation in your case are likely just due to training. Also very common in a moderate lifter without considering PED use.

Regarding how you feel it could be a dozen things. Not everybody feels like Superman on elevated hormones. I sure don’t.
