He woulda killed more if he would of had one handgun out at a time… proper trigger control.

Dude, give someone a Katana and see how fast he could kill 4 people. I bet if the dude had a good sword he would have split everyone in the room. If someone wants to go off and kill the fuck out of people, the government is not going to stop them. Hell dude could have driven over a line of people waiting outside a club and killed a shitload of people. Guns are not the problem, mental instability is the problem.

I think this had less to do with low T and more to do with growing up in what sounds like a cold emotionally abusive household combined with maladaptive coping methods due to that and a little bit of mental illness thrown in. Good insight on his problems isn’t surprising. I think most mentally ill people are actually quite intelligent. You may be right about his upbringing and poor coping methods, but that doesn’t lead someone to behave as he did. Some rise above and overcome their past. For those who don’t, I could just as easily picture someone in that situation choosing a different maladaptive coping method like excessive drinking.
What I was implying in my earlier post, and what I think Prof X is also saying, is that this person more than likely had low T in addition to his other problems. Low T by itself probably wouldn’t lead someone to shoot innocent people, any more than high T would lead someone to act that way. Unfortunately, society often equates high T with violent actions or just general assholeness, which couldn’t be further from the truth.

Dude, finally some insight. I’ve alluded to it before, but many of your posts reek of lots of hostility and projection.
Take care.

You may be right, but I picture someone with excessively low T laying on the couch all day depressed overeating and sleeping all day as coping methods. Usually overweight and weak with no drive and hardly having the aggression to go out on a killing rampage. He seemed successful at his job, enough motivation to start going to the gym, and finally the aggression to kill, would lead me to believe his T levels were at least normal.
However, I could be wrong that is just my opinion, so please don’t take offense.

Reading that dude’s blog really struck a chord with me, I know it’s pretty fucking sad and pathetic, but it’s true. VERY few things I read online grab my attention in this way.
Projection? I don’t think so, or never really thought of it that way. Hostility? Many people here are much more hostile than I am, I am certain of it.
I’m flattered that anyone actually pays any attention to what I post here on this website though.
But I did mean what I put before, I can totally see myself winding up as this dude if I don’t start talking to people more and putting forth an effort to make friends instead of dismissing everyone as an asshole.
This is going to be hard though because, pretty much, everyone is an asshole. Any pointers/ suggestons?

Yes, blame no one and always take full responsibility for whatever situation you find yourself in. Blaming is for losers and cowards. See something wrong with self, take accountability for it, and make a plan to change it. You are what you project to others and will attract that. If you are always talking in a hateful manner you will attract other hateful people or be alone. If you are positive and project that you won’t need to attract anyone but if so they’ll be positive.

The only suggestion I can give is find things you like doing that involve being with other people. I discovered I love public speaking, salsa dancing, hiking, so I do those things, usually with groups of similarly interested people. If you don’t know anyone, there’s always something like meetup.com to help find groups.

Agreed. You have to be a part of some type of group…even if that just means knowing the serious people you work out with a little better. Bodybuilding/weightlifting is an activity for loners but there used to be much more camaraderie in the gym than there is now and everyone used to support everyone else who was serious. the massive influx of non-serious goofballs has changed this to some degree.
Otherwise you end up as the unibomber…or at least one of those grumpy old men who stands outside early in the morning and yells at people driving past to slow down.

dude you have to take in consideration that shooting someone from a distance is something else than splitting him up with a katana psychologically. I dont think he would had the courage to kill people with a sword.
