345 Before the Big 50

Looks like your back is getting stronger and hope the hip is handling things well. I have some hip arthritis which can be painful and frustrating. There’s a lot of good progress in here.

you bench 3 plates in your younger years??

good luck!

Thanks man. The back is actually feeling pretty good atm.

Good luck with the 40 day programme. I tried it myself and really liked it but couldn’t get in the gym frequently enough to do it properly in the end. Will be watching your progress.

Cheers Danny.

Good luck getting back there yourself man.

Today I kept it simple and short as I was running on four hours sleep due to my little boy not having a great night last night.

Front squats
Worked up to 70kg x 5. Did some box jumps in between first 3 warm up sets.
Back squat
Put the bar from the last set of FS on my back and did 20 reps.

Back extns 10 x 5 ss with
HLR 10 x 5

Band pull aparts
50 total

Word to describe todays session… solid.

Haha! Well spotted BB. Where were you hiding… when the storm broke? When the rain began to fall?

in my shelter of course

Not sure if this will work because I don’t know how to link to a video, but just in case anyone is wondering WTF bluebrasil and I are talking about…

they probably never cracked the U.S.

Theyve got a very British sound as far as im concerned.

Maybe I’m exposing myself as an old fart, but the Alarm was very popular in the states in the 80’s, they opened for U2 in their '83 U.S. tour.

Carry on.

Today’s smorgasbord of awesomeness:

OHP
Worked up to 50kg x 9 (rep PR) ss with
Chins 6 x 5

Cable rows
10 x 5

CGBP
10 x 5 ss with
BB curls
10 x 5

Med ball pullovers on a swiss ball
20 x 2 (Cos my osteopath thinks it’s a good idea)

Done.

Training today:

Cleans
3 x 3

Deadlifts
Worked up to 120kg x 10 (rep PR)

Front squats
10 x 5

Did 3 chins between each set of deads and squats. 30 total.

Back extns 10 x 5 ss with
Ab crunch machine 10 x 5

Doesn’t seem like a lot now I write it down but I feel like I smashed myself today. Happy with the rep PR.

REALLY short on time today because of work so:

Bench
Worked up to 75kg x 10 (another rep PR)

Lat pulldowns
Some weight x 25/20/15 (did all of these in less than 5 mins total)

That’s all she wrote.
