3 Years of Bloodwork, Feeling Worse Than Before. Advice?

I have all my lab results up there, last time i had TSH of 2.44 after stopping synthroid and before that it was 0.12.So within 2 months it fluctuate that much

Holy crap dude! That’s really not good. The good news is just stopping the arimidex completely will only have you feeling better. Much better

I took a 1mg arimidex pill on day one of TRT and it crashed my E2. I can only imagine what you’ve been through.

True. I feel 1000 times better now with out Arimidex. I would never touch that in my life. Now my only concern is i may need to fix thyroid. I have blood test coming in 2 weeks and i made a following list to be done. kindly let me know if i should add anything.

• Testosterone Total
• Free Testosterone
• SHBG
• TSH
• FREE T3
• FREE T4
• Reverse T3
• PSA
• DHT
• IRON PANEL
• CBC
• Metabolic Panel
• Estradiol
• Vitamin b12
• Hemoglobin A1c
• Progesterone
• DHEA-S
• Lipid Panel

Here’s what I tested for last time. You can see if there’s anything in there you may want to do

CBC With Differential/Platelet; Comp. Metabolic Panel (14); Lipid Panel w/ Chol/HDL Ratio; Iron and TIBC; Testosterone, Free+Total LC/MS; Testosterone,Free and Total; Hemoglobin A1c; Thyroxine (T4) Free, Direct, S; DHEA-Sulfate; Cortisol; TSH; Prolactin; Reverse
T3, Serum; Estradiol, Sensitive; Progesterone; Thyroglobulin Antibody; Vitamin B12; Vitamin D; Ferritin, Serum; Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab; Triiodothyronine (T3), Free; Sex Horm Binding Glob, Serum; Venipuncture

I would add this to your thyroid labs
Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab
Thyroglobulin Antibody

And might as well get
Vit D
Ferratin
Folate
Estrodial sensitive

Perfect. Thanks. Hope to find whats wrong after this blood test.

I’m not surprised, synthroid is not as effective as T4+T3 medicine. You probably don’t convert the proper portions of T4–>fT3–>rT3 and more than likely you body shifted the majority of T4 to rT3.

This could be the reason why you felt worse, rT3 was pooling at the receptor blocking fT3.

You should always test fT3 (not T3) and rT3 together, T3 is obsolete and is better for diagnosing hyperthyroidism. fT3 is the thyroid hormones making it into your cells where the rubber meets the road.

Get a new doc. Mind boggling. Also trt doesn’t cause harm when larger doses are taken. The receptors do not saturate nor desensitize. When you realize the truth behind this you will stop taking baby doses. The goal is symptom resolution. Give the body T until symptoms resolve.

Call my doc at tier1 doctor Keith nichols … or someone reputable. Which state are you in?

90mg a week is nothing. At the minimum my doc and the group of docs I speak to would suggest men start between 170-200.

For thyroid we suggest armor thyroid t4/t3 .

Get a new doc and find yourself not having as many issues.

I would definately increase my dose once i got my blood test and also try t4/t3 combo for thyroid as well. Unforunately i am in Quebec, Canada and my doc is the best endocronlogist in Quebec. Its very hard to find anyone here plus he is practcising private so atleast he can prescribe anything without the presuure of public health care system.

So does that mean even the best isn’t all that great? That thyroid is vital. I recall having all kinds of odd mental issues . I’d worry so much. Depressed. Fatigued. Suicidal. I couldn’t focus.

When I started thyroid I was total opposite. depression is gone. Now I don’t worry enough. No sweat … I still get a little overwhelmed at times but I think that’s mostly gone.

Hang in there. Put thyroid top of your list. I can’t tell you how many guys have had all types of symptoms and trt didn’t work until they took that suggestion.!from fatigue to anxiety and weight issues.

Strange, your 7 weeks labs don’t include testosterone labs?

No estrogen labs either.

Sorry i was typing and got posted by mistake. Now full lab results are posted

You’ve got all sorts of hormonal/mineral imbalances, high progesterone, high DHEA and low B12. High DHEA can be caused by a tumor on the adrenal gland, adrenal hyperplasia, a condition that makes your adrenal gland overactive.

Whatever is causing all these imbalances in more than likely why testosterone was low to begin with and why you feel no better. Normally when iron binding capacity is high, your body is in desperate search of iron. I find it very strange ferritin and serum iron is fine, yet transferrin is low.

The symptoms of low transferrin saturation are:

  • Extreme fatigue.
  • Weakness.
  • Pale skin.
  • Chest pain, fast heartbeat or shortness of breath.
  • Headache, dizziness or lightheadedness.
  • Cold hands and feet.
  • Inflammation or soreness of your tongue.
  • Brittle nails.

Your body is fighting something, this high white cell count suggests your immune system is working to destroy an infection.

If rT3 is <15 ng/dL, on paper this is hyperthyroidism. I believe rT3 will come back elevated because your body is under a great deal of stress, that and TSH is not on the lower end where I would expect to see it in cases of hyperthyroidism.

You should start taking methylcobalamin. You’ll feel a lot better on day 1.

Thanks for your reply. I am really confused about the results. What should be my next step? I have appointment with doctor in December. I am really feeling not good and can’t live like this. Trying everything possible but still see no hope. How can verything imbalance at the same time.High DHEA,low B12 etcChlosterol level is high as well. Also i dont see any increase in my Testsoterone level. I had high levels than that before TRT

I will definately try that. But i wanna find the main reason for that much abnormal results. Can you give me your suggestion by looking at results. After TRT my testosterone level has decreased than before starting TRT. thanks

The main reason for your B12 being so low is because you don’t get enough B12. By supplementing you’ll get enough. Some folks just don’t absorb certain vitamins & minerals well through diet. Regardless you need to bring that up and taking methylcobalamin is the way to do it (unless you get shots).

It looks like your immune system is fighting off a sickness/infection of some sort. Do you have a cold or allergies by chance?

Yes i have flu from few days. Also i have thyoid inflamation i guess, so much swelling and pain around throat or thyroid. I was thinking it may related to thyroid issue, But thyroid labs looks fine
