Where I am living school kids walk out in front of cars on purpose to get money from the insurance settlement. My wife hears them discussing it at school, all excited about what they are going to buy, or sometimes, bummed out because their parent/guardian is taking most of it. What is interesting about this is that they are valuing their lives by how much they can make from potentially getting themselves killed or worse.
I thought I was a cynical bastard, but my jaw actually dropped when I read this. Holy SHIT.
There is worse. I had some friends that worked for a car insurance company. The would go to scenes where a car packed with kids - the worst I heard had three kids in the trunk - where that car reportedly pulled in fornt a car/truck and slammed the brakes so they would be rear-ended and get medical payouts for all the kids. The most kids in a vehicle I remember was ten.

Was it just me or did a lady pull the girl to the side of the road and leave? My internet was to shabby to reload, really just curious at this point

?According to Chinese laws and regulations, if she hadn?t pushed the girl into the water, why ever would she save her??

Wow, what the fuck?

I knew I shouldn’t have opened this thread today :frowning:

That’s the thing…we cannot measure which culture loves their family more…I think we can all do that to a great degree, but it is easier to see how people treat strangers.

In some places you sit down at a coffee shop and nod to the guy next to you. Stuff like that.

I see stuff here that’s of course nowhere near as bad as what happened to that little girl, but here’s a weird thing I’ve seen about 7 or 8 times…you know when you go through a door you may sort of hold it with your hand a bit so the person behind you can put their hand on it and carry on through after you without them having to open it too?
Well I’ve seen guys go through with their girlfriend or wife and they go through right before them as though they’re alone and the door closes and the woman has to open it herself even though she was right behind her boyfriend! I check too to see if they’re fighting but no, they’ll continue their conversation and all is well.

I could go on and on but I’d sound like an angry grumpy old man. I am that, but I just don’t want to sound like it.
You are totally right. When people in public space close the door on my face I make sure to call them out (in a appropriate way). I love to respond in a direct way to to indirect uncivilised shitty behavior. But that’s just me and my pet peeve. I don’t recommend anyone of doing the same.

That was fucked up but thats one tough little kid to survive all that although I have no idea how bad off the kid is since I don’t understand a word they’re saying. The other thing that is fucked up is that you can post that kind of video on youtube but some tits will get banned.
That’s something i’ll never understand about this country.

The naked human body = Bad.

Violence = Ok.

The beauty and ugliness is where you look for it. I’ll stick to looking at naked women.
I don’t understand it either. I hop into IMDB forums time to time and there are always threads like :
“Hi. I’m a father of a kid of 3-12. Is there any nudity or sex in this movie?”.

Fair question…but this same movies have blood, gore, pain, bad drama, etc. and the issue is seeing what brought the kid to this world?

It’s true that it’s very uncomfortable watching sex scenes while being with the parents…but come on.

They offered the lady who helped the child a job and money… wtf.

EDIT: The child is a goner. Sad.
