2nd Steroid Cycle // 20th April 2022

Looking at your pic you look similar to what I did back in the 1970’s. In November 1970 I was turning 22 and attending my first bodybuilding contest. I had done little leg training apart from running and a little bit of leg extensions. The judges held a meeting before the contest and told us, “If you didn’t have chest, shoulders, and arms you wouldn’t be here. We’ll be looking for legs, back, and abs.”

I knew I had a lot of work on legs ahead of me. I came in dead last place that show. But I earnestly started working on my long legs.

You have low T but you want to CYCLE? So after the cycle you would have even lower T. That’s your solution, am i right?

Yes you are right. Although at some point in the near future I will get on a legit TRT program

12 weeks you will feel better but after that you will be on 0 T for weeks and maybe, if lucky, recover to 100-200. How is this a good plan in your mind?

So what do you suggest then… just never try and push your natural limits? Just keep doing the same shit getting shit results??

Blast and cruise of course. Or in your case - cruise, then blast, then cruise again.

Consider this excellent gif from @Andrewgen_Receptors

Be careful what you wish for. Only time and age will help you truly understand what the previous sentence really means.

I don’t think “natural” can be considered an accurate depiction for your status anymore.

You can bench 3 plates for reps while weighing about 225lb… In what world is this considered “shit”?

You’re quite literally playing TT roulette by doing this. As I said earlier, eventually you will fuck up your own T production bad enough that you will have to go on TRT, rather than it being a choice. I think your responses are riddled with confirmation bias, as you alluded to earlier. I don’t say this to mean offense at all, I say this to be blunt and honest in a time where blunt honesty is likely needed.

You’ve done extremely well given that you’ve only done 1 cycle before. Reel in your body dysphoria and confirmation biases, then decide if going through with this is actually the right choice for you. Chemical castration isn’t as fun as it may sound.

And still haven’t heard about your first “cycle” @Jef and how that plays into your current T levels.

True!

go to 7:37: that’s what referred to as the moment of truth. I know what it feels like and I hope it doesn’t happen to you. You can take your chances and may get lucky or you can play it smart .

Getting admired by paramedics asking me what I was doing wasn’t what I had in mind originally. But life sometimes has a strange sense of humor. And of course for every one of me (at least on these forums) there’s another like @RT_Nomad who seems very content with his AAS use/abuse. @Jef best wishes man.

@Jef I suppose you deserve a response to @tareload comment concerning me. Yes I did use AAS’s over 3 decades. I do believe they greatly helped my success in bodybuilding. I am not recommending AAS’s to anyone.

Maybe I was one of the lucky ones to still be alive at 73 years of age. I personally knew quite a few who did use steroids during those decades, and only one who had a real problem. That could have been bad stuff. He didn’t know, but eventually was given a new kidney. (He waited longer due to his self “abuse” of steroids) I should state that I haven’t kept up with any of my old buddies from the past. Most could be dead for all I know.

Whether I used them or abused them I will allow others to decide. I felt that I used them to attain my goals. I weighed the risk against the benefit. One could easily argue that I was on the Goldman Dilemma spectrum. In retrospect I might be just one of the lucky ones. But I could drop dead at anytime going forward. I have reached my theescore and ten, so there’s that.

Only you can decide what is best for you.

Jef has certainly got his money’s worth with input on this thread. Best wishes @RT_Nomad and hoping you get another 3*20+10 with good compression of morbidity Sir. Take care.

If you go the AA use route, I would implore you to keep an eye on your blood pressure and do regular checkups at your primary care, bloods, etc.

Also give blood frequently.

Also a yearly heart screening is a wise choice. (stress test, echo, etc)

Many of those with issues would have seen them coming from miles away, if they simply took some time to check out their body.

Thank you for the advice.

It’s great to hear different perspectives.

I 100% agree with you about weighing up the positives vs negatives. As long as you’re totally aware & accepting of the possibility of the negatives.

Feels like an honour you saying that I looked similar to you back in the 70’s. Appreciate the sound words.

I will implement this going forward. I had bloods taken pre cycle and will continue to do so.

Unfortunately I cannot give blood for a couple years just yet haha.

Thanks for the advice.

100% agree with you here. First post and I feel like I’ve gained a lifetime of wisdom.

I’m regards to the first cycle. It was 2 and a half years ago. Test enanth only. Nothing more than 350mg p/week at most. Very conservative again like I was this time. 12 weeks with a PCT.

Be careful with weight increase. They will get increased pretty fast but it is hard for joints to keep up. Especially when you try new pr / max rep
